Hi
The unofficial guide says that there is a minimum age requirement of 4 for the HISTK park at MGM. I haven't been able to find that info anywhere else. Does anyone know if this is correct?
Thanks

I know for a fact that is either not correct, or not enforced. My kids had such a blast there last trip, includig DD2. NOw she did need supervision, and there are some parts that are too high for her to reach, but kids of all ages were playing there in March.
I think there was even a little slide just toddler size. But don't quote me on that, as we spent ALOT of time in the playgrounds!

I've never heard this. I remember bringing my younger boys to play there while DH and our oldest went to ToT and RnR. They were about 2 and 3 at the time.

That is also how it is listed on allears. I personally would not feel comfortable taking a younger child in there. It is a very fast paced area. I have seen 4 year olds get run over.

I took my DD when she was 11 months and then again at 16 months. She had a blast, especially the second time, and was able to burn up some stored energy. We are usually at WDW at off-times, and the playground hasn't been very crowded.

I've not been here with a child yet, but have checked it out. I think the crowd level would definitely dictate if I took my child. I plan to check it out this next trip as my dd should be walking by then. she loves playgrounds now and I know she'd probably love this one!

Thanks, I do think that from the descriptions I've read that it may be overwhelming and too busy so maybe the unofficial guide printed that as a guideline

I agree that if it's a rule, it isn't enforced. My ds and dd have both been there and not until this year is my ds 4.

If you just have a little one (under 4+) I would avoid it. It can be very confusing and DD and I had a very scary few minutes last year where we got separated and she (And I!) was scared. If you have older ones that need to burn off some energy however, there is a small area to the side where a little could safely play with little slides and some water. I have brought toddlers there plenty of times with no problem while older kids were playing. This place is most ideal though for kids old enough to be able to climb on their own without constant supervision.

We call it the "Honey I Lost the Kids" playground. There are a lot of tunnels that are difficult for an adult to get through quickly, but a three year old can scurry through quickly and disappear from sight.

Even with older kids it can be a hassle reassembing the party. You have to wait until you see them and gather them one by one.

DD was 3 1/2 on our last trip and that was her absolute favorite part of HS. She didn't want to do anything else that day. She was fine to climb on everything, although I did follow her up through the "spider web" a few times. The older kids can be a little pushy around the younger ones. I had to tell one kid to be careful because he pushed DD out of his way and she fell.

I've seen babies there before. I hate the palce though. I took my older two to it whe nthe ywere little and they of course loved it. But we avoid it at all cost with our little one now. It's a playground. Why do I want to pay Disney prices to play at a playgorund?:confused3
