I think they owe you.

Actually it cost us two beers just to show them our family suite. Come to think of it, shouldn't they have paid us admission?

Another great update Nebo.

When we got to the lines for the bus we were truly confused. You see we are car people. Is this always how it is? We had no idea, but it was bad. We ended up taking a bus to the All Star Movies and walking from there. I don't remember what time we got back, but I do remember that it reconfirmed our decision to always rent a car and drive.

By the way those light up necklaces are christmas bulbs, we bought them the year before and I just had to get some for Kim, Diane and Steve for this year's trip. You know I couldn't find them anywhere, ended up having to order them on line, and they came right before our trip. They're a lot of fun, and like Nebo said, a great way to find eachother.

tyry- Wine and Roses, on rt. 31 in Algonquin, way too far for you!

Thanks Diane - believe it or not I think I can picture it as we have cousins who live not to far from there. Sounds like it might be time for a get-togther with them!

And nebo - great pics of the lights..still trying to talk DH into going that time of year...maybe someday!

Man oh man - when you fall behind in your TRs, you really fall behind! :faint: Catching up now....

You know, that is one job I could never do there, be the host of the "train".

I'd just feel too stupid.

When they have to throw off the cloak and run down to the train in the Indy Jones set, I would probably have to add to the line; "It's me everybody, now please, just shoot me!"
I rather think this would be an improvement, no?!

And I started clicking away immediately, not having any idea if the shots were turning out.
Wow, your shots came out GREAT! :thumbsup2
And thirdly, um, how well do you think a flashing necklace would have stood out in that environment?
:rotfl2: I wondered about that!

John did eventually get his beer!
PHEW! :rotfl:

My friend brought these cocktail napkins to my house last week...

Careful! Elisabeth. Got it? She's particular about the S. And yes she is the baby nurse both on the DIS and in real life. She is also a cowgirl and a sports fanatic. But we love her anyway.

Mooved along... it's the thread we hang out on. Come on over.

Thanks Melinda on the info on Babynurse. Now I'm scared! You also want me to come over to the MOOV thread? Hmm, I'm not sure I want to join a thread that would have me as a member. I have my standards!:3dglasses

Glad ya'lls D In Law is doing better. Diane Congrats on the job!! And my vote would be the Bruce Look.

I was a bit behind but I think I am all caught up now. I missed some of the banter but I think I'll live. Maybe not as amused as I would be if I had read it all but i am alive in an unhappy bitter sort of way;) .

Sorry about the wait to move but this way you will get to enjoy being close to the newest grandbaby for a while and can plan to move right before the terror stage!

Lee lee, Ok, I see "bitter" in there, I'm not sure if all is well with you, boy, I sure hope so. As far as the grandkids go, You're right, it would bother me to move now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but it would Kill Diane!

Holy Cowgirl is right. I hate to interrupt this TR, but I just met you and feel the need to briefly explain my ginormous post count. When I joined the dis in July 2006, we were planning a trip to the world in October. I posted very little. But then.....

My youngest child (I have 4) went to all day kiddygarten in August. I was at a complete loss. I had been a mostly SAHM since my first child was born. I was a little depressed with the whole empty nest thing. I discovered the game threads and would mindlessly post drivel on there while my kids were at school, by the time the fog had lifted and I was "normal" again, my post count was out of control.

The reason you've never heard of me is b/c I'm an angel and NEVER cause trouble.:rolleyes1

Thanks for welcoming me, and a big shout out to my moovin peeps Marita EliSabeth, and Sexy Lexi!

Thanks BN for the introduction; The best INfo I can give you? And, trust me on this, you will be jealous, I have met in person, both Marita and Sexylexy, believe me, both class acts! I have even tried to adopt Melinda, but she put a stop to it when she found out I had nothing to leave to her in my will.

AND SWEET WONDERFUL AWESOME AS HECK MONICA!:flower3:

(sorry. i told you i skimmed the TR banter. now that I'm caught up, i promise never to do that again.)

Elisabeth,,,,Elisebeth,,,,,,,,,,,,, Babynurse, trust me on this one, you don't want to cross Monica,,,,,,,,,,,,she will play dirty, and PROUD of it! (the sweet little thing that she is)

I just discovered your report last night and I love it. My DH kept giving me funny looks last night when I would start cracking up. I even read him a few sections, but alas, he is not the Disney freak that I am and is just not that interested. By the way, he was reading a book on the Lincoln-Douglas debates - how interesting could that have been compared to almost run-over deer and a microwave that can't even be plugged in.

Anyway, keep it coming. I can't wait to hear more.

Hi Sammy, welcome aboard! WOW, you have no idea how much you have him now. Really! Play you're cards right, and he will be eating Disney Movies out of the palm of your hand.
To see Ol' Abe in the American Adventure at Epcot? TO LISTEN to the voices of Liberty in the pavillion, to hear the roll call of all the presidents in the "Hall of Presidents". You can even say Stephen Douglas was going to make an appearance, but he up and died instead. If he watched the American Adventure at Epcot, and then you followed it with "Illuminations", he would be dead meat.

Tears rolling down the cheeks is not an option.
It's a prerequisite!

Anxiously waiting an update Nebo, lets go, chop chop.:surfweb:

Ah, guess who showed up, Ladies and gentlemen, meet Jill. Yes, THE Jill. Guess she got worried about how the pictures came out. Well thank you for stopping by, my prodigal Ohioan.

Ummmm, Yeahh!

and didju really?! :cool1: :thumbsup2

:wizard:

Colleen,, the answer is YES. I have pics of her, with me, believe me, I was actually sad to finally see her, we also saw the talking garbage can, and the talking plant. But finally meeting Devine,,,,,,,, well, it's something that finally got crossed off our list, that I'm not sure if I wanted it crossed off. Does this make any sense to you?

Wow, am I first to post? Everyone else must have a life. :rotfl2:

Anyways, interesting take on the 2nd show. I have never been there when 2 shows were offered so I wouldn't have thought of that drawback to the 2nd show.

Hey Donny, YOU DON"T HAVE A LIFE? I'm the one that's writing thiis crap, aren't I?

The Fantasmic stuff is absolutely true. And this was on what is "supposedly" known as the "slow" time of the year.

Ok, see ya in the morning, nebosteve:woohoo:

Lovin' the TR! Between your sand UMA's, I've managed to be late every day this week to work, and put off my studying & homework that's due when Spring Break is over. Thanks for the entertainment!

So:thumbsup2 unds like a good plan

One guy yelled out "Hey, how bout we all pitch in 2 bucks for the bus driver so she can take us right to All Stars?"
ANother great update Nebo. I have only seen the Osbourne lights once. I was pregnant and so tired I couldn't really enjoy them. I definitely want to go back to see them!

Great post Janet, even though I ended up having to chop it to bits cuz only one side of the conversation comes through. And I think you're right, the Lights are much better viewing than with a full stomach.

or uterus

whatever

Wow, only three of us have found this tonight so far? Everyone must be hiding Easter eggs and sneaking chocolate early!;) The Osborne lights look amazing; don't know if we'll be seeing them or not now. Our trip may turn into a trip to Calif. when my aunt moves there, and that means Disneyland isntead, I just don't know when this year.

That poor bus driver, so glad it didn't turn into a re-make of Speed!

Hoogiesmom, that's the great thing about getting old. After I put in that installment I DID go and hide Easter eggs.
So far, I've found all but 2. :rotfl:
I think next year I'm going to hide hams instead.
I like the Speed reference, wish I thought of it. Only my version would be a tad different.

Whatcha tink? Sandra and Keanu on the monorail, and they can't go lower than 50 passengers.

Great Update, Nebo!!!

Aren't Ozzie's lights pretty????

We missed them this past trip, but they were amazing when we saw them (and that was before they had Rythm:lmao: ) It was mobbed then too...the most crowded i had EVER seen WDW, even though the rest of the trip seemed like the crowds were very light.

Hi Piggy'smom, , Yes, they are much more than pretty, these are in your face, here I am, commin atcha outstanding. Blows "pretty" away. Kind of like when the IBM PC Junior came out with King's Quest, and you were used to "Pong".

Enjoying your periodic reporting. Glad your daughter in law is doing better.

I'll be at DS the first nite they turn on the Osborn Lights, Nov. 13. And I read they only do it for an hour. We want to see the lights then high tale it over to Fantasmic, do you think we will make it?

Oh, we are road trippers too. I like getting off of 65 out of Indy and going over to Cincinnati and catching 75 and going down. Do you know what is even better, go over more to the East and go through and down West Virginia. Those mountain roads are wicked, especially the one that leaves Charleston.

The worst route to take is down the middle of IL, OMG, I think it ends just north of TN Nashville, our kids almost went anarchy on us.

Geesh, how do you praise someone and yell at them in the same post?

Gonna give it my best, though.

Enjoying your periodic reporting. Quote and un quoute.
That's right, QUOUTE! I like it. You, the little Badger lady from Wisconsin, whom posts on my trippy once every 6 months, whether she needs to or not, is taking shots at me? Boy, if I didn't have Wisconsin in the NCAA tournament,,,,,, however,, THANK YOU, take that, Rhondalee! RT. 57 through Illinois is the backbone breaker of any trip, Antarctica is much more scenic.

And has more Stuckey's.

I don't think it was that Osborne. He was the prince of darkness remember??

3 beers>2 lighted necklaces.

I think they owe you.

Go Green!!!!!

Monica, it probably was pretty much a toss up. Our beers were Busch Light and PBR. Yes, I like PBR.

And , of coarse, I KNOW it's not that Ozzie. I just didn't want to invoke the names of Donny and Marie on this thread. :rolleyes1

But...but.....but....why:confused3 I :lovestruc the Donny & Maries SHow when I was a kid....I'm a little bit country....and I'm a little bit rock n roll:rolleyes1

I know you know its not THAT Ozzie, but I kinda said what I said for the benefit of the few posters after that original post. Wow, I'm starting to write just like YOU!

I almost posted a picture too, of Ozzie, not the lights. The Ozzie we are speaking of. Not the owner. But the singer.

Anyways, back to being me.

I'm sure some of us are a little bit country and the others are a little bit rock n' roll.

Snap! jcc0621 beat me to it!

:yay: :yay: Yay! :yay: :yay:

Devine has her name and Wes Palm has his...I'm wondering
:scratchin

What's the garbage Can's Name?

and YES! I understand 100%

My advice? You need a new mission...

Seems you have about 1 year to come up with one~

:sad1:

.
I like the Speed reference, wish I thought of it. Only my version would be a tad different.

Whatcha tink? Sandra and Keanu on the monorail, and they can't go lower than 50 passengers.

You know, years ago there was a tad of an issue on a monoral. Like a fire!
And people had to crawl out of the top of it, onto the roof and then (I assume) some sort of firetruck ladder.

True story.
Save it for your next trip for extra excitement. ;)

Walt Disney World Resort. The new trains also sported closed passenger compartments (with openable windows) and pneumatic doors. Following the 1985 Disney World monorail fire, a safety handrail was added along the spine of the train, as well as emergency fire exit hatches leading to the roof.

How cool that you met them both. I ALMOST met Marita last August, but I looked for her behind the wrong dumpster. I waited for hours.:rolleyes1

Thanks for the inside scoop about Monica, I will remember this info and use it wisely. lol

Loved the latest update. You posses great talent.
