This terrific Sunday morning was met with the news that most of the PW'ers will be leaving today, a cast member told me as I was getting my coffee.

So I tried to cheer myself up, by taking it out on a kid sitting next to me.
He was wearing a baseball cap, only had it on backwards, like kids do all the time nowadays. So just like I had done once before to a kid, I said to him,
"Hey, that's pretty cool, they put the bill on the back of the hat instead of the front like they normally do, know where I can get one of them?"

The funny thing is, I'm afraid of heights too, when I think of some of the things I did when I was younger, I'll actually break out in a sweat, but for some reason, I'm also drawn to them. You don't know fear until you do the 430 foot tall Dragster at Cedar Point. In the front car! Even though you start out going 122 mph, by the time you crest the top your only doing about 5 miles an hour, way too much time to look around. And down. If it wasn't for the clouds.......

Well, I'm back, and got two giggle-worthy episodes in one sitting! I really needed that great Nebo humor after our trip this week (my uncle is in hospice care now, but I'm not going to be a downer to this trip report). I can proudly report that there is a wine tasting every few feet in Oregon and I don't care that it comes in little plastic medicine cups, it's still tasty! Even at 11:00 in the morning!

Really feeling brave with your Japanese chef that night, huh? And, yes, I had totally forgotten where we were in your trip, what month it was, etc. Doesn't matter, I just like to chat about all your funny happenings!

Ok, a recap for you Chelle, this trip started Dec 6 for 5 nights at Music followed by 5 nights at FQ. Our recent excursion was on Feb 3rd, 5 fnights at my beloved CS, 2 nights in Kissimmee, and four nights at Movies. And,,,,, then a late 3 night add on at Sports. (shudder)

For a list of the smoking areas we hit and the times we were there, send a self addressed stamped crate with two gallons of Epson ink ,,,,,,

Pop really isn't as bad as I'm making it sound, I'm probably just old and crotchetty. But if you could, I'd change over to Pop Century. Pop doesn't seem to like Pop. (?)

Oh there is ONE thing unfortunately that for some reason, Disney just loves me to be at now. The Laugh Floor Comedy Club. Lately I can barely get in my seat before they turn the big bright lights on me and make me do something. Last time I actually had to get up and dance!

I am very proud of you and your expanding of your photographic skillz already...these things take time,,,,,,,,have you found a way to upload your digitals at all yet?

Maybe if your son has a good internet connection (anything besides dialup) you could upload into your photobucket from their place???

I'm on dial-up and I upload pictures...the trick is to resize first. Irfanview is a free download. Google it. I resize my pictures to something around 450 x 450 pixels ( I just change one measurement and the other adjusts to keep the ratio right). I don't use photobucket anymore, but I can upload pictures to my photohost in seconds now. Give it a try!

update. don't want to hijack the report. but thanks for all your prayers for laura. the new treatment is working better, she is home and feeling better!!! yay!
just got home. I got a job!!! waitressing at a steak house I worked at 5 years ago. pounded the pavement since our return from the feb, trip. gee, no one is hiring at this dead time of year. (hit at least 25 bars and restaurants) now, if I could have gone looking EARLIER, but NO, we HAD to go to florida AGAIN!! (just teasing, I loved our travels and travails. our little "limbo" period was actually quite fun! ) anyway.... heard they were looking at a place I used to work at, so here I am. fri, night fish fry was so- so., today there was corned beef and cabbage buffet and I did pretty well. next week I work the whole weekend, and hopefully sat, night I'll get orders for steaks and lobster, mussel and calamari appetizers, etc. we'll see. course, when nebo gets a job, and I work fri, sat and sundays, we'lll never see each other again!! (like we haven't had enough time together these last 6 months!
ok... remember the goal... VISTA DEL LAGO... living in florida... we can do this!!!!! (ps my knees and my back are killing me; I forgot how heavy those trays are... is it time for bed yet? zzzzzzzzz?)

hey PM, from what I have heard, the schools there are nothing to write home about, but it doesn't really matter to us, since Diane has almost graduated now.

Well, I was thinking more about my kids.....oh well, maybe in 20 years when they're off on their own.....actually, Martina's 4, so she should graduate in 16 years....

THanks for the update! sorry you didn't get picked for IJ, Nebo. I'm glad you had fun meeting DISers!!! I've spotted a few in parks, but never actually gotten to sit and talk to anyone.
