Honey Baked/Glazed Ham - anyone tried Sam's club's?

Thinking of serving it for Christmas dinner. Is it any good? How does it compare to the Heavenly Ham or the grocery store?

Anyone have a standout favorite brand?

We always buy the Sam's spiral hams. They are very reasonable and very good. I think they are as good as the heavenly hams. Much cheaper. They cost like 15. Very easy to make with the packets attached for the glaze. I always get one for Christmas.

Sam's Club spiral hams are AWESOME! We've had Honey Baked Hams because we've received gift certificates, but they don't compare to Sam's! You can't go wrong and the price is terrific!

Sold - one spiral sliced ham from Sam's club. I will definitely use the glaze.
I knew I could count on my DIS friends to give me the low down on food.

Any suggestions (in addition to green beans) for side dishes?

I was wondering the same thing about their hams - thanks for the thread! Do they run out of them? Do I have to get one now?

I have a recipe for PINEAPPLE CASSEROLE that is great with ham. In fact, I won a local TV contest for the best side dish recipe with it and had to appear a few years ago on the local news broadcast on Thanksgiving (at 6AM!) to show it.

I'm at work right now, but when I leave in about 20 minutes, I'll post the recipe from home.

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
5 slices bread, cubed
4 eggs
1 20-oz. can crushed pineapple

Cream butter & sugar. Add eggs. Beat well. Add pineapple and bread.

Pour/spoon into greased casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

My mother-in-law makes that same pineapple casserole for Thanksgiving every year... YUM

We have a party to go to on the 20th...I think I'll make that dish to take over!!!! FOJMO thanks for mentioning it!!!!
