Honesty time, how many times do you search?

We all have those ADRs we have yet to land and are hoping for the magic cancellation. For us it is a BOG dinner and a CP breakfast pre-Rope Drop. Been hunting these for about a month. When I was first checking it would be 3-4 times daily. However once I hit 60 days out I really increased that. I'm in front of a computer most of the day, just got home and checked again and it dawned on me I must have checked literally 20+ times today.

My name's Buzz and I'm an ADR stalker.

Hahahahaha! I wish you the best of luck, we're still trying for our BOG too but I've resigned to lunch if we don't get an ADR, I've heard lunch is better anyway. Lol.

For me it is BOG. I have checked daily (often several times a day). Will be doing lunch if I cannot get a reservation for dinner. Good luck with your search!

Thanks, my BOG FP lunch date hasn't opened yet, but if I can secure one I will probably slow down the search for dinner (I just want to have any meal there)

The good news is through this obsessiveness I have secured 2 ADRs previously unavailable!

I am frantic about getting the dessert party booked for our trip. We are there during food and wine and the start of MNSSHP its brutal.
I check probably 4-5 times a day

I missed out on the booking window when it changed from 60 back to 180, and my 180 had already come and gone so it was a mess.

Its the last ressie i need for my week to be perfectly complete !

:headache:

Is perpetually, maniacally checking an option? Because, yeah.

We're going during 11/9-11/20 where there's barely a character meal to be found and I've JUST missed 4 CRT breakfasts that have popped up over the last month. Have not seen a single BOG in all that time. :sad2:

Good luck to all of us. pixiedust:

(I know it'll be a great time either way, but I'm not giving up!)

I never book my trips more than 180 days out, so I am always stalking the ADR's at the last minute. I have been able to get them last minute by checking right after the 24 hr cancellation window closes. People cancel last minute all the time. Good luck

I work at a computer, most days at the office and a couple days I work from home. On an office day, for BOG, I would check when I got into work, then lunch hour, then before leaving the office end of day, and then at least 2 more times in the evening at home. When I worked from home, I could check almost every hour for BOG (sit on the screen and simply 'refresh'). It did pay off as one of those times, I saw a time pop up. Took me a bit to even notice as was taken by surprise.

I also managed to get a few weeks after our ADR time opened up, from checking.

Good luck. Hope your persistence pays off.

LOL at taking a minute to notice. When my Chef Mickey breakfast finally popped up I accidentally X'd out of it by sheer habit. Lesson learned, keep my search open in a separate window and just minimize.

Oh my goodness this is funny I literally must have checked 100 times a day since I work on the computer. I have been looking for a CRT to take my daughters for their birthday. I would spend every five to 10 minutes refreshing the page and going down our dates. When I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom I would check, after I brushed my teeth I would check, during breakfast, first thing in the morning, right before bed, I was super determined to find a CRT, my husband would look at the computer and be like "really babe" I was not going to give up until I found it, lol. I found so many reservations by doing this, it could literally be seconds where I refreshed the page and something would pop up that wasn't a CRT but a good character meal. After all of this refreshing I found two in the same day, neither one is one that I want as I need a party size of 7 and have been only able to find a party size of two and four. I stopped searching as much because I figure something will come up the closer we get to the trip and if it doesn't four of us will just go and the other three will have to find something else to do. I was searching so much that I swear that little blue searching symbol started to appear in my dreams, lbvs

:rotfl2: I can relate haha. On the 4th there were some neighborhood kids lighting off fireworks which woke me at 2am, so I rolled over grabbed my phone and took a shot.

I also have a tradition where prior to my first search daily I say "Today is the day" to which my wife replies "I get you committed" :lmao:

with a fast internet connection and leaving a window open, it only takes a few seconds to re-check. I do it dozens of times a day. At about about 5-10 seconds per try, I figure I still spend less than 5-10 minutes per day doing this. Even a few years ago, this would have been impossible, you'd have to spend hours on the phone. Therefore almost nobody did it, and dining reservations were easy to get, even up to the day of your meal. Not any more. Ah, the curses of new technology.

I have a serious addiction. I'm trying to get an earlier CRT, because I don't think my 3 year old princess will last waiting to eat until after the fireworks. I get a little nervous if I'm not able to check for a few hours. It's bad. My husband is convinced I have completely lost it. I just remind him it's not as bad as wedding planning (although we're close).

I check daily after work up until the wee hours, searching for a Chef Mickey breakfast. I have every ADR that I planned for EXCEPT Mickey. Not giving up though. Magic could happen.

Well I'm happy to know I'm not the only one that has all of a sudden turned into an adr search maniac, lol. I have to tell you guys to make sure you are logged in too, yesterday someone was coordinating with me so I can finally try to get a CRT and for the last two hours prior my MDE account was saying welcome Promise so that would make you think you were logged in, right?? Well I see the reservation time come up and I click on it and it takes me to the log in page, I almost had a fn heart attack, I was so nervous my hands were shaking and I couldn't get logged in, I was so nervous that the first attempt I messed up the email and had to do it again, then when I finally got logged in the reservation page wasn't there any more and I had to go back to their reservation page and find the castle four minutes had passed and now I'm shaking my heart is beating and I literally thought I was having a panic attack, lol, and i put in the time she says and oh my goodness it was still there, I was trying so hard to hit accept table and I was finally able to book it just last night. I swear I think I would have passed out if because I wasn't logged in I missed it they go so fast. Now what am I going to do all day, lol. hmmm maybe look for BOG.

Too funny!!!

Although after missing 4 CRTs in a row I might need to borrow your catchphrase!

I've been obsessed trying to change the day for one of my adrs. Last week I woke up for no reason at 4:50am and immediately rolled over and grabbed my phone to check. (When I tell you my eyes were barely open I'm not kidding!) Lo and behold....there it was...the day and time I was looking for! Persistence pays off....lol
