I agree everyone is entitled to there own opinions and that is what makes debates go when people differ, but I still think we should be supportive to the girl no matter how many threads she makes about the Cancer she is dealing with. It is a way for her to get things off her chest and those are some pretty big issues to deal with. I know I have seen numerous what should I do about this guy or Do you think this guy likes me and although that stuff is somewhat important as well it doesn't compare to the issues she is dealing with.

Say someone you love or care about finds out they have cancer.

Would you rather have seen one of my threads so you would know how to relate to,how to handle that person and their emotions?

Yes it is, but the one thing that burns me up is when I sent it and she replied with a thank you all this bickering was going on in the thread. Kinda ruined the whole atmosprere of sending the card.

Ok so here it goes.

Shelly- you are not a terrible person. While some may find what she said offensive, would you rather she lied? She was honest. May I add she also has said she hopes Sonya gets better, and made a lot of positive comments. Shouldn't that count for something? You don't have to agree with me, and you don't have to like her, but that doesn't mean you have to yell at her.

Sonya- I do feel for you. And as of this point in my life, I have never gone through this personally. I admire it. I offer you this bit of advice: Don't let other people stop you from posting or doing anything. Fine, you don't get along with Shelly, there are people out there you like. Would you rather people be fake? She was honest and I admire her for that. I also admire that you are so strong.

****To stop the whole multiple threads thing: there is a link when you click on the User CP. Once the screen comes up, you scrool down and under all the recently posted on threads there is a link that should say something like "view all subscribed threads". All the threads you have made are there for easy access.

To Shelly I do admire you for being honest as people do have there opinions about things. I honestly believe you have all the well being in the world for Sonya and you want her to beat this Cancer and Get back on her feet as soon a possible and be a healthy teen like the rest of us. You were one of the well wishers that pmed me to wish her well in her upcoming surgery so you being so honest I have no doubt that you meant that. As for the amount of threads I can understand you don't like that and you are entitled to your opinions as is anyone else that is on here.

All I can say say is I hope Sonya comes out of this surgery really well and recoverrs quickly(and I know she will, because she is strong) and this will be the end of her chapter of life with Cancer. And she can move on to brighter and much better topics in the near future. Because I bet she wishes deep down more than any of us that she didn't have to talk about Cancer and deal with it firsthand.

WOW! I REALLY cannot believe that this thread had to be made.

It makes me SICK to my stomach that some people think Sonya is using her CANCER as a way to get sympathy or "extra attention".
It's not like she broke her foot and is demanding that people wait on her hand and foot.

She has a horrible disease that is putting her through physical and mental anguish. She's only 14 years old, and she'd going through something that some grown adults couldn't deal with, and she's fighting through it like a champion.

Sonya, you are an inspiration in my eyes, and DON'T let anyone get you frusterated.

The majority of us WANT updates on her condition and her surgeries and her treatment, we care about who she's doing. And I can't believe anyone would complain.

It's NOT the same thing and all the HSM threads, she is UPDATING us on her HEALTH. Letting us know she's made it through another day.

I cannot even express how angry I am that anyone would be angry with Sonya or bash her at all. I can't believe it's come to this.

Have some empathy, put yourself in her shoes.

Sonya. PLEASE keep up updated, and for all those of you who don't care...DON'T READ IT!!! I hope everything goes well for you today!
