My sister is FINALLY considering getting rid of her utterly DEAD 1992 Saturn.

Her Credit Union is having a big sale here today and we went to check it out. She has already been approved for a loan so she's being very picky. We found an awesome Honda CRV for a good price, $1,000 below Kelly Blue book so it's at our mechanic's now, getting a diagnostic.

Anyone have one of these and what kind of experience have you had with it?

Thanks!

Robin my dh has one and LOVES it and so do I. Its a good running vehicle, roomy, lots of space for stuff in the back, and gets good gas mileage. Im thinking of replacing my saturn with a Honda CRV when the time comes.

We had a 1997 CRV and LOVED it! Very reliable and handled very well (except on fast left-hand tunrs). We traded it in when we bought our Honda Odyssey. IMO, she can't go wrong with a Honda! Good luck.

I have one and I LOVE it! Would buy another one without question. :D

Our kids share a 2001 CRV. We've had it a year and bought it as a certified used vehicle from the Honda dealer. We haven't had a single problem with it. It's easy to drive--and is relatively safe. I was looking for a small SUV that had good insurance ratings for cost to repair and medical payments. The CRV seemed to be the best option out there.

I traded my Saturn in for a CRV too. I LOVE IT!!!!! No complaints whatsoever. My sister and father have CRVs too.

My sister has had 2 CRV's, loved them both! :)

Hope your sis enjoys her new car, cuz! :)

Hi Robin!

I have a 2000 CRV (named Baby:rolleyes: ) which I just love!!! It's made many trips to PA and FL and the only problem I've ever had was needing a new battery. Unless another car really catches my eye, when I'm due for a new one it'll be another CRV.

Big Hugs to that lovely son of yours!

I bought a CRV the very first year they came out. I loved it!
I traded it in for an Odyssey van when baby number 2 came along. My brother-in-law just bought one and they are bigger and better than the model year I had.

IMO, you can't go wrong with Honda.:D

I have a 2001 we bought brand new and LOVE it.....once my husband needs a car that is what he will buy too...they are GREAT::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo princess:

I had the first CRV in our area. I am now on my third and I have loved all of them.

Thanks, everyone! She BOUGHT IT!!

She got an awesome deal with her credit union, 3.99 interest rate! She was trying to keep the payments low and we managed!

She already loves it. The mechanic checked it out and it got a clean bill of health. It still has the manufacturer's warranty so she's covered.

It takes a LOT to get my sister to make a big purchase. In less than a year she's bought her first house and her first financed car....both because I DRAGGED her into it! I know she'll be happy to hear she's picked a good one.

:wave2:

I'm debating between CRV and a Saturn myself. I'd say go for CRV if she has eye on one. Hondas have high resale value, great service records.

I have a 1998 CRV and LOVE it. It has about 60,000 miles on it and I haven't put any money into it, except for oil, air filter, wiper blades and tires. It is the best. Very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. Your sister will love it too. Jay
