Our DD will be a junior in high school this year...she's always come home, we talk about her day while she has a snack, then does her homework. As a result, she's not up all night doing homework.
Just an FYI--for years I've heard other parents talk about how their child was up all hours of the night doing homework. I still hear this from several friends....it never occured to me to ask when they started the homework. I was afraid DD would not be able to keep up her grades since she finished so much earlier than her friends. When I asked, I surprized to hear how late they started. Keep it in mind when you hear the horror stories about how someone's child never finished the homework for grade XXX until late at night.
