Ok everyone, my DD's homework is to create an Acrostic Poem using the word VETERAN.

Maybe we are just slow this morning but we need some help

She can then write phrases/sentences that begin with the correct letter (eg: Victorious in battle, Excellent protectors of freedom) and also address the theme. Starting a poem with only a word list makes it much more difficult to write.

Longing for the ledge
I am going to reach the top
My mind is mesmerized by the view
Belay, Belay,
I'll reach the top today
No turning back now
Gone


Either way, the words should flow and form an idea. Adding to a line or two might make that easier to accomplish. Just a thought...
