Anybody know if there is a parking fee at the hotel, at American Way near Universal?

The site says that parking is free but when I booked six nights I saw that it will cost 17 dollars. Is that per night?

Anyone been to the hotel? I have also seen that the hotel has gone from no 2 to no in Tripadvisors forum for the best hotels in Orlando. Sounds nice!

I'd call the hotel directly. I know where it is, but have never stayed there, and can't imagine that they'd charge for parking. None of the other surrounding hotels do (except maybe the Universal onsite hotels). I think that's a typo.

This may be the "resort" fee that some hotels levy in Orlando. If they have certain amenities (Pool, hot tub, games room, tennis, children's activities, business center, spa etc) , they can charge it. Most of the time it's built into your hotel price ro the hotel has it clearly stated when you reserve a room. $17 per day is steep. The only place I know that charges that is The Portofino Bay Hotel and that's for Valet Parking. Most 3 star charge $2-$5 a day. Definitely give the hotel a call and find out what it's for.

Parking is free at this hotel and I know nothing about a resort fee. Homewood Suites is a far stretch from a resort--very nice, but not a resort. Definitely call.

Parking is definitely free. I think it is a glitch on the Hilton Website. Some of the hampton inns are showing a $17.00 fee as well so I called a few and all say parking is free.

Thank you for all the replies! It must be some kind of error with the booking saying it will cost. Maybe I will call and check. Otherwise I will bring along a copy of their website saying its free.
