Homewood Suites by Hilton Cape Canaveral Shuttle

Hi! Has anyone who has stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Cape Canaveral used their shuttle to get to port?
If so, can you tell me a little bit of how everything works and if it's reliable?

I am also going in late November and staying here and would also like to know some of the details on how their shuttle works going to the port and picking up at the end of the cruise.
 
We stayed there back in March. At that time they only had 2 shuttle times to the port, with the latest being around 11:15am I think. Since our PAT was at Noon, we scheduled the later shuttle (you need to do this ahead of time, we did it at check-in). It's only about a 5 minute ride over. Overall pretty smooth and easy process for us.

We have 6 in our party and wasn't sure if we should call ahead of time, or was there plenty of space the day of check in?

We had a party of 8 and had no problem getting a spot on the shuttle at check in, and it was spring break. They actually put us in our own van, and then had another one running as well.

I don't remember what time the earlier shuttle was sorry.

How was the return from the port to the Hotel? Did you wait long for the shuttle? Thanks in advance.
 
Just wanted to follow up Patches4me's comment on the shuttle returning back to the Hotel from the port. Has anyone done this and approximately what time did you get back to the Hotel? We are driving from Ohio and for the drive back home I would like to gauge what time we would be in our vehicle on our way home so I know where to book the hotel to split up the trip home.
 
DH just called about this last night as we had to move over to the Homewood Suites after our Country Inn & Suites reservation was cancelled. Homewood Suites told hubby the shuttle times are 9:30, 10:45, and 11:15.

Was that from the Hotel to Port or Port to Hotel? That sounds like Hotel to Port. Since they try to get everyone off the ship by 9:00 I was hoping they would have enough shuttles leaving no later than 9:30 or 10 to go back to the hotel. I wouldn't want to stick around at the terminal until 10:45.
 
I'm sorry. Those were times to the port from the hotel. It has been our experience with other shuttle services from the port that they tell you to call them but I don't know how Homewood Suites work.
 
We stayed there in August of 2016. We had about 8 rooms there. Hotel is lovely. We did not take the shuttle as we had rental cars. My only disappointment in the hotel was their lack of cribs. The hotel had ONE crib (not one crib available but one crib total) and we had 3 babies in our party. They said that was all they were required to have. It was very frustrating talking to the manager.

We stayed there in July and be warned that this is not a great hotel. We are pretty loyal to Hilton brand hotels and this was one of the worst. Our room wasn't ready at check in, the hot breakfast was clearly leftovers from previous dinners, we didn't get cleaning service in the room, and the staff we dealt with were rude and abrupt. We had a car rental and were planning to use the shuttle but were worried about its reliability after so many poor experiences.

We ended up taking an Uber to the port and a taxi back. We waited less than 10 minutes for the Uber and no wait for the taxi back. Both were cheaper than the shuttle for my family if 4.
