I am battling with a VERY difficult decision. My daughter,6, is currently at a charter school in our area. There was a VERY bad incident that happened to her at our school. I am considering switching schools but the school I want to send her to does not take new applications half way through the year. So I would have to enroll her for the fall. The new school would be 25 minute drive twice a day. I do not know if I want to take her out and homeschool her for the rest of the year or what. help if you can thanks

Sounds good to me!

Here is the Homeschool Chat thread; I'm sure any specific questions (about your state requirements, etc) could be answered for you.

We were in a very similar situation last year. After a terrible fall at public school, we pulled our son out of kindergarten and home schooled him for half a year. He goes to a nice little private school now, and we love it. Homeschooling was great, too, but I feel that having him in a school is best for him. Only you can know what's best for your child. If you decide to homeschool, I don't think you will ever regret it.

Can you do a virtual school mid year? I did one for a full year and everything is provided, no planning involved
