Homeschooling question

Hi,

I have two boys who are on their second year homeschooling. As advised by everyone we tried and failed at "school at home" and are looking for computer based alternatives.

I am trying time4learning dot com and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this program. Any other suggestions on computer base curriculum, where I don't have to worry about keeping records? I have looked at Switched on Schoolhouse, and any advice from someone who has used this would be appreicated as well! Thanks

Have you looked at more of a unit study method of home schooling? I'm looking into this for next year and it's really the opposite of "school at home" not a lot of worksheets and busy work. There are some great websites/curriculums for this if you are interested I'll pm them to you.

I have been homeschooling for 16 yrs and have 11 more to go. I am so glad to see other homeschoolers on Dis. We have used everything from traditional to unschooling. KONOS was very good when i had 3 only 3 grades apart. We are currently using Switched on Schoolhouse and love it. This is her third year with the program. All the teacher stuff is built into the program. I just go in once a day and check her work, and reset things she needs to fix. It does all the grading and planning for me. I am also currently using CLE for my 7 yr old but finding it difficult to use with him. He has been diagnosed with ADHD, Bipolar, and PDD a form of Autism. The poor little guy tries so hard but just cant seem to catch on. If anyone out there has any experience with a special learner I sure could use some help.
I have no idea where to turn.
Any help or ideas would be great.
