Homeschoolers...Disney lapbook?

Hi. I am new here, have been reading these boards for the last two trips our family has taken to Disney, and now on our third trip I am finally jumping in and posting! Yeah!

My question is for those of you who have done or are familiar with lapbooks.. have you had any luck finding one on DisneyWorld, I found one through handsofachild.com, but it is DisneyLand based so much of the information wouldn't work. I don't mind coming up with my own, but I am all about not reinventing the wheel!

Not a lapbook, but have you checked out Guide to the Magic for Kids?

There are lots of interactive activities in the book as well as a 14 day journaling section in the back w/ prompts.

If you google guide to the magic you will easily find their website.

We have never done a lap book. But I do take a couple of afternoons to do a short unit study on the different countries in Epcot using a Disney character or two in each. (Mostly princesses so far)

You will find a huge list of free lapbooks. There is cinderella among other things we used for our Disney lapbook. I took a big map of Florida as the background and some mickey cutouts to label where Disney is. I had the kids draw on world map our route (dry erase is nice). We mixed Florida information, park maps and the extra stuff I mixed in from the resource above with coloring books we had here and some clipart scrapbook things we got while there to decorate the rest when we returned home.

I found one, or rather I made one! I searched for a year, but only ever found a Disneyland lapbook, so I did one of my own. I have a video of it on my blog - we3kids.blogspot

Hopefully some others can get ideas from it.

Curious as to why this is only asked of homeschoolers? We've used this format in our public school system for years.
