homeschool group to disneyworld?

Has anyone ever taken a homeschool group to Disneyworld? I was wondering how that would work. Are you allowed to do it during free dining?I have done smaller trips with our group, but nothing this big. Any advice?suggestions?

although i have not done it, i have helped a friend organize pitching one to her hs group... she was out-voted and they went to kalahari (in ohio) instead...

that being said, disney actually offers hs weeks (early january i believe, maybe other times) w/special presentations and offerings... if you'd like more info i'd be happy to research it for you

actually, for '09 wdw is offering homeschool days in september... i just checked

Okay, I just looked at the website and guess what??? We magically happen to be going to WDW during homeschool week. lol. What are the chances of that? We planned this trip 2 months ago right when the free dining came out. Now, we get to add on some really great educational opportunities for my kids!! The US history one looks fantastic! I am sooo excited. Now to see if any other homeschoolers in my area want to join us. WOOHOO!!

There is a local Homeschool group in Orlando that is going and also a BIG group from North Carolina usually sets up a trip and you may be able to join in with eithe of those groups. If you PM me your email address I might be able to get you in touch with them

The Carolina Homeschool group does their own week. They go Labor day week so parents can use less vacation time.
