Homemade tree decorations?

This past weekend we went out and chose our first live tree. (We always had a real tree growing up, but when DH and I got married he insisted on a fake one.) I am so excited to have a real tree again! I am going to make popcorn to string on it. What are some other suggestions for homemade tree decorations?

Obviously the traditional paper chain.

I also do the clear glass balls with strips of scrapbook paper rolled up and stuffed in them. Using a pencil to roll them makes a perfect size.

Reindeer made out of foot prints. Trace feet and use pipe cleaners for antlers, googly eyes for eyes and wrapping paper scraps for a bow tie for the boys and a hair bow for the girls.

oh my the reindeer sound cute!! I know way back BCC (before crazy cats) we used to make twisted pipe cleaner candy cane. We also love to make beaded candy canes (red and white snowflake beads) and snowflake hearts. We also like making photo ordments with homemade clay.
