Hello everyone!

This summer I (may) need to make a shirt that says the following:
Bottle of Hair Dye - $6.99
Custom T-Shirt - $12.99 (or whatever price it ends up being)
Trip to Disney World - $1,200
Getting My Kids To Read 50,000 Minutes - PRICELESS

I was going to have one made for me, but since my program doesn't end until two weeks before I leave for vacation I won't have time, so am thinking to make it myself with iron on transfers. The only experience I've had with transfers is from when I was a kid and the transfers got all peely and icky looking. I want these shirts to stay looking nice. I was originally going to just use the words, but now think I'll put it on a square background to make life easier for me.

I'm hoping some of you may be able to recommend a transfer type and some tips on how to make them look nice and stay looking nice. Thanks in advance!

(background: I'm a Youth Librarian and have challenged all my summer readers to read for at least 50,000 minutes in July and August. If they do I'm going to be dying my hair either pink or green- right before I leave for my vacation to WDW)

I just wanted to pop in and say how awesome this is!! My ds7 would flip to see his librarian dye her hair... OMG!!!! :lmao:

I'm a proud mama though, his summer reading program started June 23rd and he's already up to 925 minutes. His personal goal is 3500 minutes by and of August. :lovestruc

Wow 925 minutes? Good for him! :cheer2:

When I went to the schools I was very scornful telling the kids 'I didn't think they could do it' so I'm hoping that they all take me up on my challenge. Our program has been up and running for one full week and they're up to 3293 logged minutes (not everyone has turned in minutes). My mom says to brace myself! I think it's great personally. :)

What a cool idea!

I had to step back a minute after I read your list though- first thing I thought was how many kids do you have for them to be able to read that much!

Then I got to the librarian part :).

What an awesome way to motivate your kids! Much better than offering to let them put a pie in your face- which is what our teachers always used as a bribe.
