I was craving pancakes on Sunday morning. I go to the cubard to get out the box of Bisquick and discover I'm out! :earseek: My fav pancake house is too far to drive to now that we've moved, and we haven't found anything nearby that we like (I hate IHOP!).

"Hmmm...I have a cookbook." I think. So I look it up, figuring it must be too hard to make.

Turns out they aren't! Flour, milk, oil, 1 egg, a bit of brown sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt, and you've got pancakes!

They were really good, too! I wish I'd known this sooner. I don't think I'll ever need to buy Bisquick again, because that's about all I use it for!

I started making them earlier this year! I was in a time crunch a couple weeks ago and used bisquick instead of homemade and my family barely touched them LOL. Homemade are yummy and easy!

I usually make them from a mix, like Hungry Jack, but I might have to try homemade. Course I always add chocolate chips.:sunny:

Wow! That's what happened to the kids and I this past weekend. We were craving pancakes so bad but didnt have the bisquick. :teeth:

So we made home made pancakes.. they turned out yummy... I added cinnamon to it and used baking soda instead of baking powder. :p

Homemade anything is the best. You can also double up on the batch and freeze them. Then pop them in a toaster oven during the week when you don't have time to cook.
