Homemade Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches..

Lots of TS have enjoy life chips that are safe to use as a topping or part of an allergy safe dessert but I guess nestles chips are more economical for the mass produced stuff.

I use Nestle Toll House chips for cookies (semi-sweet) and have never seen a warning on the pkg for tree-nut "made in a facility".....I think I've seen it on other flavors though. I know the pre-made dough is "made in a facility"--is that what you are talking about?

I believe the chocolate chips are made on the same equipment as products with nuts. I've seen warnings on the bags that it may contain nuts.

I just went and read the WHOLE bag again....I have Nestle Semi-Sweet chocolate chips---it says "made on same equipment with PEANUTS"---my DD is allergic to tree-nuts and coconut so they are fine for her. Scared me for a minute!

Another place that sells them is at Sleepy Hollow in the MK. My dd had one there, but do not know if it is peanut free there. Just another place to check. They don't have a huge selection there so maybe that is a good place to check. They make the cookies right there.

Sorry OP, just saw someone said SH isn't a good option for nut allergies.

His allergy is only to peanuts, so he can eat Nutella fine, so Sleepy Hollow isn't a problem but I assume they are the same Tollhouse cookies there.
