Great ideas! I am making pre-shave oil as a stocking stuffer. It is between a 2:1 or 2 1/2:1 mix of castor oil and olive oil (just personal preference, but I tend toward the higher amount of castor oil). Then you can add a few drops of any essential oil you like, or you can leave it unscented. Put it on before you lather up with shaving cream, or you could use it alone. We discovered this after my husband tried a brand-name sample and loved it, only to find that the product cost $25 for 2 oz.
We have a paint your own pottery place here where I live...you do there and paint or do hand/foot prints on plates, etc and they fire it. Search your area for a studio...our is called something like The Mad Platter. I also saw kits at Michaels where you could do plates with indentions, not necessarily with paint.
Good luck!...
Don't know if it will work the same, but it might be worth a try. I find something similar on Pinterest and we are doing it as our class craft for DD's class party. Dollar store white ceramic plates and sharpie markers. Kids can use stencils or whatever to decorate the plate with the markers and then you put the plate into a cold over, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and then let it cool in the oven. I've tried it and it works with markers. I'd say try it out and see if it works?
