I know Homecomin is one of the top places to go in Disney springs and really hard to get reservations for

but I’m going with 2 teenage boys who are huge baseball fans, and the day we’re going is opening day for baseball. Basically Christmas Day for baseball fans.
I have a resv for Homecomin already, and city works still has resv available

I guess my question is how much am I going to regret missing out on Homecomin, is it that good?
We’ve never been

We ate at Homecoming and thought it to be meh. But last trip, we went to City Worls EVERY night to sit at bar and watch hockey. Chatted with bar staff a lot and had a great time. It is our new go to sports venue at WDW. Totally recommend for the baseball fans. We never got food there but have heard good things.

Also can make resies at many DS venues on Open Table and not have that no show penalty that Disney does (if they ask for your CC on there then they do charge that penalty but City Works does not, I don't think).

This is great
Wish I knew about it sooner
Would’ve made things a lot easier
Thanks!

Homecomin' would be our choice hands down. Our only problem there was that there was too much food and we didn't get to try everything we wanted to try.

Homecomin' is good, but so is City Works IMO. You really can't go wrong with either place.

Both are going to have good meals - if you really are set on Homecomin' though, could you compromise? Homecomin' for appetizers and then a bit later your main meal at City Works.

That way you'd still get to sample some of Homecomin' and your teens would still get to watch a game.

Call Homecomin' and make reservations through them, they have availability set aside that isn't listed on Disney's reservation system. We did it for our last trip and had no problem getting the date and time we asked for!

Neither is my favorite, but all the food we tried at City Works was just terrible, we ended up just picking at our food and grabbing a replacement meal elsewhere the night we tried it.
