Homecomin' - Calling the restaurant directly to make a reservation

How would that help? Homecomin’ does not offer reservations through Opentable.

Thought I saw them offered some time ago. If you are right then of course it wouldn't help.

Like most things, this was probably tenable when only one or two people were doing it – but as soon as it got posted on the internet and people were doing it en masse, it got shut down.

The telephone number has always been on the internet since the restaurant opened. It would be the first place locals would call, I’d imagine.

Sure, but locals don’t make reservations months and months in advance.

I just called and the very kind person who answered the phone said that they do not take phone reservations and to use the Disney dining website. She did say they do accept walk up/wait list reservations but they are not guaranteed.

I was told that a month ago. I was going to try again but was able book on the Disney site. In my opinion, it was fine when there were just a few phone requests, but, like so many other small hacks, it gets publicized and becomes overwhelming to handle.

Someone correct me, but I thought Homecomin’ is owned by Disney, one of the few at Disney Springs that is, and that is why they are not on Open Table.

You mean locals don’t celebrate special occasions and make plans in advance?
That’s different.

i think they stopped phone reservations, because if you no show you dont get charged, but on disney you do. They may have had to many no shows which hurts the restuants.
