homeaway sites -- vrbo/greatrentals etc...

Do these all have the same listings? I was using vrbo but what a pain, can't search by avail dates etc.
Then I clicked on the greatrentals link and you can search by dates AND save favorites.
Just wondering if they all have the same listings...then I can stop the insanity with vrbo...

Don't know this for sure, but just from my researching and trying to find a house...I think owners list the same rental on multiple sites, and some just use one site or the other. I found our March 2008 rental on vrbo, but is also on homeaway. This time I just used homeaway because I don't like the madness of vrbo either.

Both these sites are owned by the same company and many owners do advertise on them both as they get a special rate for doing so. We used to adverise on VRBO but it is an awful site for anyone to navigate around and the whole homeaway network is getting too big - IMHO To us it wasn't worth the cost of advertising. Different owners find that different sites work for them and many owners I know do not use this network. Other sites you may like to try, in order to find other homes, are

www.vacationhomerentals.com (you can search for available dates)
www.thebigcondolist.com (for condos and townhomes all verified owners)
