Home Schooling with Lego Education Items

Has anyone used Lego Education items for home schooling?

I'm interested in the Motorized Mechanisms Set and the Motorized Simple Machines Set for my 6 and 8 year olds. I'm wondering if anyone has used these and what they think.

I'm also looking for a coupon code for legoeducation.com. So, if anyone can help with this, I'd appreciate it.
