:woohoo:
I can't believe it's over already. We had a nice trip...but alas we had to come home.

But I'm still getting luggage out of the car...so I'll start on this report tomorrow....so sad to have left!!!

So I'm home from a wonderful WDW trip and had alot of fun and adventure.

I'm new at this trip report stuff so I'll do the best I can.

My DH and I went to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary at CBR.

We had a great trip and lots of magical moments...it was wonderful but
started out with me going to hospital the day before we left with an acute
sinus infection and DH had a terrible cold. But after getting a couple of Rx's
filled we were ready to get on the road.

We will review:

Yactsman
LeCellier
Raglan Road
Narcoossee's
Flame Tree
Earl of Sandwiches
Fish and Chips
Whispering Canyon Cafe
1990 Park Place
Cape May Cafe

Some unexpected reviews but I will explain..

We slept late one morning and cancelled a couple of other ADRs.
I will start on this report tomorrow...I need to get to bed now, so tired,
we drove for 9 hours today and need to sleep.:thumbsup2

:) Sunday 1/27/08

We got up and left NC at 6am Sunday morning for the 9 hour drive...everything went well till DH got on hwy 4 and the low fuel light came on and we could not find a gas station. Boy was I scared,we had already driven 30 miles with it on and he turned off on an exit that had no gas station signs and went driving about 10 miles to find a station!! Men just don't plan ahead (atleast my DH doesn't) I always pull into a station when I think the low fuel light is going to come on! But alas we found one...I was holding my breathe. Any way we made it to WDW at about 3:45. Got checked in at CBR with no wait and drove over to Aruba Rm# 5408 King bed with a court yard veiw. The room was nice and clean and the grounds were beautiful. I unpacked and we relaxed till it was time to go to Studios to see the last showing of Fantasmic for the week (it was going down for refab)
it was standing room only 45 mins before show time. It was worth it ...WOW first time we ever saw it. Then we hopped on a boat to YCR to eat at the Yactsman Steakhouse. DH had scallops, ribeye, and choc cake, I had seafood salad, ribeye, and creme brulee. Wow it was really great food. The scallops were grilled perfectly and the seafood salad was ok but small. The steaks came with horseradish cream potatoes and they were great!! The steaks were cooked just like we ordered them and were soooo big we couldn't finish them. The desserts were so yummy too !! Of course we were wearing our Happy Anniversary buttons and everyone wished us Happy Annv. and our desserts came with it written in chocolate, and we got to keep our personalized menus. We were so full we walked around to Broadway after dinner and watched some of the street performers...they were funny!! It was a little chilly out so we caught a bus down town from there and then back to our room.
Oh I forgot to mention we walked over the bridge to Port Royale to get our mugs and there were people in the pools...it was 49 degrees out...Brrrrrrr. I couldn't believe it...my teeth we chattering just seeing them.
Also we lucked out being in bldg 54 we were a short 3 min walk to the bus stop. We didn't have any trouble with the dinning plan as we had taken advice from some posts on dis, to tell cm we were paying tip in cash. popcorn::

Day 2 :)

Monday morning we had to get up at 8 am .....We wanted to sleep in and have a late breakfast every morning. We got up and checked the weather channel and got dressed. We wore shorts even though it was still chilly outside but it was suppose to warm up to the low 70's. We had 9:30 ADR at
WCC so we took bus to MK to pick up a bus to WLR. WLR is sooo beautiful, and BIG....so we checked in and were given a buzzer thingie , as I call them.
We got to walk around the lobby....wow what a fireplace, with all the chairs in front of it....nice. So we get buzzed and seated and order the skillet breakfast. The food was just ok....but watching the kids in the horse race and the antics of asking for ketchup was really funny. There also was one CM that was going around with the chef statue sneaking up behind people and leaving it till they turned around and it scared them. FUNNY!
We took a boat over to the CR and caught the monorail to Epcot. It was a really nice day and we only stood in line for Soaring for 20 mins. I love that ride.....it's so cool. The flowers in Epcot were so pretty....and there was a plane sky writing....U & God = then drew a smiley face.
Around 4pm we went back to the room to rest for awhile and relax with a cocktail till our ADR at Raglan Road at 8:30pm. We left for DTD around 7:00
and checked in a little early at Raglan Rd. We were seated about 15 mins. later and our waitress was Danny....she was really nice. We talked and found out she was stationed in Germany the same time we were there, her dad and my DH actually knew each other.

Next: Part 2 Day 2..... Dinner

Great report so far! We just got back Sunday night and it was so sad to leave WDW too. We had so many great blessings come our way (esp for my friend's first trip). We stopped at Raglan Road gift shop to find something for my DS30 and wished we had time to eat there (we ate at Wolfgang Puck instead and was very disappointed). Sounds like you had a great time - anxiously waiting for more!

:) Hi heaven2dc and sharonW.....thanks for reading!!!:flower3:

As I said Danny was our waitress and she was really good. I had studied the menu for months so I had already decided what I wanted...the Dudly duo...YUMMMMMM. It isn't for the healthy eater but it was soooo good...fried cocktail weiners and the dipping sauce was excellent. I wanted the Kevin's heavenly ham but :confused3 it is no longer on the menu so I ordered the pork stuffed with the banger and DH had It's not Bleeding Chowder. The food was great. DH ordered the beer flight and really enjoyed it. The band started up as we got our entrees ....it was fun when they get the audience involved with the songs...clapping and such. The dancer was the hostess that checked us in at the front...she was a good river dancer. We were so full but had to try the bread pudding as we had read on dis how good it was ...so we split one.....WOW it was out of this world....I had never had bread pudding before and Loved it!!!! After we finished dinner we were really tired...we are only in our fifties but after all the walking and excitement we decided to call it a day. As we were walking back to catch our bus we stopped at Goofy's candy store and picked up some goodies for the grandbabies back home.
The bus rides back to CBR are always interesting because you end up starting a conversation with nice people...we met a couple of young girls from Canada that were there for the gymnastic competitions. The bus was full and my sweet DH stood up and offered them a seat...he's such a gentleman! Nice end to a very good day.

:) Our 31st Anniversary

Well this morning we had a wake up call at 8am from Mickey. So I got up to go to the bathroom and came back to the bed and DH had put a gift & card on my pillow! He's soooooo sweet! It was a beautiful 10k gold chain...I was so surprised because usually when we go on a trip for our anniv. we consider the trip our gifts. But lucky I got him a gift too. We got dressed and took the bus to MK and monorail over to 1900 Park Place for Breakfast. We were surprised when they gave us cup cakes and a place mat that had the characters autographs. We took pics with Mary Poppins, Tiger, Alice and The Mad Hatter and Goofy. Food was great. We knew we were going to MK and it was going to be a very warm day and they would melt and be squished in our backpack so we picked a couple of kids and gave them the cup cakes ( with the parents permission). We stopped to take pics in front of the beautiful flowers.......the GF always has so many fresh...BIG flower arrangements. We took the monorail back to MK and had our pics taken at the entrance by photopass. We meet one CM by the flag pole and talked to him for a little while ,as he was retired military... as my DH is. The park was really crowded...but we saw monster comedy....it was so funny! I like the way they use the audience on the big screen. I also got Dh to ride It's A Small World with me.....it's true the song stays with you all day afterwards. We watched the street show in Frontierland with the Toy Story characters and it was really getting warm out so we decided we needed to go to Epcot (our favorite park) and get a cold German beer...so we rode the monorail over and went straight over to get our cold beers........they were good!

Next.....Day 3 Part 2...Epcot and Narcoossee

Its great to know that we "older folks"..young at heart..
still enjoy WDW too. We probably appreciate the magic
more then the younger set!:lmao: I know I'll still love it
when I'm 90!!!:rotfl:
