I am having an October 2009 Escape Wedding with a home reception/party.

I was hoping to have Randy's photos back by the time I have my home reception- so everyone can see them... but will that take too long? When did you all have your home reception? Did you have your professional pictures by then? And how long does it usually take to get them (I am only getting a CD)

We had our home reception 2 months after the wedding, but we got our photos from the Roots about 10 days after the wedding, so that wasn't really a problem. I think this was an unusually short turnaround time, though.

We didn't have prints made for the reception - I made two soft-cover books on www.blurb.com and people passed them around. Also, we had the photos playing as a slideshow on our laptop, but people were way more interested in the books. At the end of the party we gave the books to the grandmas, who like to share them with their hair dressers, the mailman, random strangers, etc.

I just have to say that my Gram lives with my mom and I've caught her several times harassing the mailman for hours on end....
