Home on the Range

Belle1216,
ITA!
The art in Lilo and Stitch is very beautiful. I also really loved the story and felt an emotional connection to the characters.
I also love Mulan. I thought it was very funny and enjoyed the music. I also really loved the story. Its nice to have a strong heroine in a movie contrasting it to the princesses from way back in Disney's history (such as Snow White and Aurora, whom I still love).
I thought Home on the Range was okay. I thought it was kind of funny and I liked the art. We saw it in the theater and then also bought it. We haven't watched it yet on DVD. We saw it at the theater a couple of days after having lost our dog to cancer and the song by Bonnie Raitt in it really ate my lunch.

Have only ever seen two non Disney animated films I'd give an A to. The Road To El Dorado (Dreamworks) and Anastasia (Fox) would both get A's.

There are many of Greg's ratings that I just flat out disagree with....personally. unfortunatly, I'm reluctant to put out my own list, because
1: there are too many that I just haven't seen recently and so I refuse to not given their just due.
2: If people disagreed with me, I'd be foreced to find out where you live and lay the smackdown ala Jay and Silent Bob and I just don't have the money. :yo-yo:

I will say this, my all time favorites probably looks something like this in no particular order:

Sleeping Beauty
Snow White
Cinderella
Robinhood (one of the best ever heathens)
Lady and the Tramp
Aladdin
Dumbo
Lilo & Stitch
Emperor's new Groove.

Which is not to say the others are bad films. It's just that these are the ones that I just have always liked the most.

We rented this movie (HOTR) last weekend. We only made it through the first half hour. My two girls (6 & 11) hated it. I thought it was very erratic.

I didn't think Brother Bear would be as good as it was, the art work was beautiful and the story was amazing and touching, a wonderful lesson.

Finally saw HOTR, and it makes BB look like a true Masterpiece.

BB was ok... strong animation, had the Disney "heart", overall, a safe picture for Disney.

HotR was a joke. I already had lowered expectations, which usually means its hard for me to really be disappointed, but I was.

The story just didn't have any genuine emotion in it, and Roseanne proved why she is not a movie actress. (Yes, acting skill does help even when you are "just" voicing a cartoon character).
