I have plain white tile over my kitchen counters (and under the cabinets). I can't afford to replace the tile but would like to add some color since the counters are also beige. Can I regrout over the tile with a light yellow grout? Thanks.

You would need to remove most if not all of the old grout. If you only put a thin layer of new grout over the old, it would fall out relatively soon.

If you want color, have you considered painting the tile? My mom did with some special primer and paint from the local hardware store. It turned out great and she is thrilled with the new Salmon color tile.

I know there are companies that will paint old tile, etc. They spray paint using basically a similar paint to car paint, they can do tile, bathtubs, appliances, etc. They paint everything, including the grout, so it would all be the same color.

How much tile do you have? Tile work on a wall isn't very hard to do at all. You could rip it out and re-do the tile yourself for not a lot of money. It would probably be easier then regrouting the tile too. To regrout, you have to dig out all the old grout and then put in new. It isn't fun.
