Hi all! I am home from my 4 day on the Wonder, and everything was awesome, until time to debark yesterday AM. As we were waiting for the line to go down to leave, we noticed that it stopped moving. Then the doors were locked, and I noticed CM's starting to do other "things" around the Atrium. Well, a suspicious package was detected at custome, they evacuated the terminal, and we were all "locked" in the ship. Families were seperated, kids were chaotic!, but Disney did all they could to relax everyone.

Characters came out, they opened the dance club areas for free prize bingo, and family dancing. On the floor of the Atrium, the kids learned to draw Mickey, and so forth. It was nice what all they tried to do.

We were finally off of the ship at about 11:30, and off to MCO at a little before noon! Our flight was at 1:05! Thank goodness it took off a little late, so we didn't have to rework anything. But I have to admit, those last few hours put a huge damper on the whole wonderful experience. The porter with our luggage was mean, hollered at us, and wouldn't give me a straight answer about my luggage (I got the answer on my own).

So, anyway, I just wanted to let you all know it was truly terrific all in all :)

Holy cow, Sharon! That must have been crazy! I'm so glad you caught your flight and that everyone was okay!

I read about this on the board yesterday! I know I am usually soooooo tired on this day! Sorry that you had to go through this, but I am glad that DCL is checking things out!

I read about the mattress scare also and wondered how frightening that must have been for the cruisers onboard. Glad you didn't miss your flight! I wonder how many folks did?

It's nice to hear Disney tried to make you all comfortable, but I think they should have somehow let you know what the hold up was all about! I realize they didn't want a panic, but there must be someway on letting the cruisers in on the problem.

Hope this bad experience didn't ruin your trip!! Someday it will be a funny story to share, but right now I'm just glad it is all over for you.

Great that you had a great trip but how awful to have to go through!! I am so sorry!!! I think the last day of a trip is the hardest no matter what and then you add something like that on top of it....

This will be one of those debarkations you won't forget. LOL

Glad everyone was safe and you made it home ok!
