Home from the magic and what a wonderful 5 days!

Hi guys

Got home really late last night so will get on with highs and lows and crack on with trip report later:

Highs

Where to start.....so so many

Ezy Shuttle as always lovely driver delivered us safely and confortably to hotel and back to airport cannot recommend these guys high enough!

Hotel......looks amazing in its beautiful christmas decorated state....staff were wonderful and warm no snootiness whatsoever from anyone

Our Room....ended up in Kizzabels room she did not exagerate it was beautiful and looking onto park's salon Mickey we could see the Christmas tree from our window

Plush Dumbo and flowers left in room for our arrival with complimentary bottled water left each day

Weather....was expecting cold and rain....much warmer and only 3 showers for entire stay and we missed these as we were indoors,,,,came out to wet pavements ....happy days...rain coats stayed in case

Christmas Decorations....I know some people saying they are less than last year but with no previous experience we honestly thought them absolutely beautiful.....and the snow!!!!! didn't know what to expect....it was fab...very Christmassy

Cavalcade.....just lovely with a very energetic Goofy leading it....I cried lol

Christmas Dreams....we loved this the fireworks are amazing and the frozen bit so lovely again we teared up each night

Q's.....lol non existent Monday to Thursday.....a little longer on Friday 40 mins Crush and the Rat still managed to do all our favourites before we departed.

Restaurants - Walt's Blue Lagoon, Inventions and Chez Remy ....wonderful!

Single rider on the Rat....well done fellow diser for the tip....walked right on anytime we wanted and never got separated even on last day when Hubby joined us ....Olivia and himself in one and me in one behind

Buzz opening on last day unexpected so got to do everything

Waking to the sound of park music every morning ....loved this!!

Staff all over the park very friendly and in character....hats off again to the TOT staff!!!

Christmas music all over the place......magical

Random unannounced characters around the parks (goofy outside TOT in the TOT uniform).....some without organised q's though so beware

A very pleasant and unexpected invite for our last mourning.....will elaborate in TR

Lows


Still lots of smokers ignoring the repeated warnings not to smoke in q's

Thunder Mountain broke down every single day for a time (it had been closed previous week for refurbishment!)......particularly hated that it was broken down when we went to ride it as our final ride with fast passes we had kept for the purpose....but don't worry we had magical experiences on it prior to this the previous night we rode it 7 times in succession lol....you would know we had missed this on previous few trips lol

Long long q's to meet characters especially the frozen ladies ...we decided not to q

Lack of characters in the Hotel....very missed! although random that our first morning Goofy and Donald were outside breakfast??????

Lucky nugget....tried this for first time....very disappointed...lost our order long long wait for cold food

Rainforest Cafe.....slow slow service....starter gorgeous and my main was fab but Olivia's was absolutely horrible....it was udon noodle with tikka massala veg.....overdone noodles with syntethic flavour sauce ....disgusting taste - on complaining just got a shrug and told that is how it is??????? the waiter never came back with my change!!!! after 20 mins wait I went looking for him to no avail.....and no manager available....just chalked it up to experience but don't think I will be going back as we have always loved Rainforest....ah well maybe we were just unlucky this time

Had an amazing time and am really sorry to have had to leave the magical bubble......will try get started on my TR soon

We also didn't enjoy Rainforest cafe, so didn't go back. I do love the atmosphere, but the food wasn't good. And the service.

No idea....was open as we went to go to space mountain in afternoon

Couldn't believe the characters were there!!! Goofy was there earlier then Donald.....didn't see any others after that day ....except for my special surprise

We had a totally opposite experience in rainforest cafe! Food was hot, tasty, very attentive waiter who made a fuss of our little boy who I'd taught to say bonjour and merci. But we ate early around 5 or 6ish, don't know if that makes a difference?

That's usually our experience too....eat there every single trip and never had a complaint! We have eaten at all sorts of times without problem - that night was straight after Dreams so about 7:30 the place was full....perhaps just unlucky but it turns you off!

Yes it was lovely ....we had booked just standard and I did not contact them prior to arrival. I know our travel agent was disappointed when she got pool closure late and said she would ask for a nice room to compensate.....sure we knew for ages before as it was on dlrpguide for months! but maybe that's why we got such lovely treatment

The room was 1212 and was down a corridor just as you come up the stairs, close to restaurants and bar, very quiet location and you could hear the park music through your window....You could see the top of the christmas tree at night too which was lovely!
