Well, I made it through my "booby trap" operation yesterday (mastectomy) and everything went very well. They didn't have to take any lymph nodes -- just samples from about five "possible" ones. They'll biopsy them and we'll see.

Meanwhile, I have these pretty "necklaces" hanging from me (drainage tubes) that I kid my DH they're like Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton's necklaces that they had each other's blood in. Hopefully, I'll they'll detach them next week at my doctor's appt.

I want to thank you all for your kind thoughts, words, and prayers for me at this crazy time. You are all the BEST and I thank my lucky stars for each and every one of you.

VAL

Val, I'm so happy to hear you're home and recuperating! It's also great that you have not lost your trademark sense of humor (Booby Trap! )!

I hope you have a speedy and comfortable recovery period and that all those biopsies come back negative! I'll keep you in my prayers!

It's great to hear that you are doing well. Continued good thoughts.

I'm glad to hear your surgery was successful and you're home.

I was just thinking about you and saying a prayer that your surgery went well. I am glad to hear that your spirits are up and you're recovering well. My prayers are with you for good biopsy results. {{{HUGS}}} (very gentle ones of course).

Glad you're home. Thanks for the update - continued good thoughts and prayers heading your way.

Ditto ead79's gentle *hugs*.

Glad things went well surgically speaking and that you have a pretty new "necklace" to wear for a few days. LOL
I sure do admire your upbeat spirit and attitude! :)

Hope that everything turns out 100% okay for you!

Now sit back, relax, and let everyone wait on you....:teeth:

Good to see you home, Val. Continued good wishes for a speedy, comfortable and full recovery and remission. Prayers are with you.

Dan

Sending a very gentle  your way. Your positive attitude will help your body, and spirit, heal. I do think it's shocking how early they send people home after surgeries like that though. My Mom had a mastectomy last May and they sent her home the very next day too. She didn't do well (very, very depressed) and ended up back in the hopsital for another week. If they would have just kept her a day or two longer, I think she would have done better.

Glad to hear you're home and all went well. I'll be praying for a speedy recovery for you.

Thank you for updating us. Glad your surgery is behind you and you can move on. Keep the faith and those positive thoughts in place. Continued thoughts and prayers wishing you a full recovery.

God Bless ^i^

I'm glad to hear the humor in your "voice" too. You sound good. I hope you continue to recover and all goes well.

So glad all went fairly well for you. Val, you just absolutely amaze me...your attitude is absolutely incredible!! God Bless you & keep your spirit tough. I will keep praying for you.

You must be a woman of great faith.

Hugs, Rose

Wishing you a speedy recovery Val. And I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
