Yes, I have a question re: the bold - will you adopt me? :lmao:

Aren't you guys lucky. :thumbsup2 Nice.

It's so beautiful there. I was able to go for a few days over my birthday. The point difference isn't even a huge issue after my stay there, I enjoyed the studio stay so much that I would honestly choose a VGF studio over many DVC one bedrooms.

LOL so sorry I already adopted my son from Korea. It was his first trip to WDW so we went all out.......had points from last year so we made it count...lol

Our first VGF stay is coming up in less than a month! I am sooooooo excited!

How was the pool? All three of my kids learned how to swim this past summer so we're really looking forward to the pool, weather permitting. (fingers crossed) I've read somewhere that there is no hot tub at the Beach Pool - is that true? If so, how far was the walk to a hot tub?

The pools were awesome. Spent a lot of time there. Don't worry about the weather other than lightning. We swam in the rain and when cold. Pools are heated. No hot tub at beach pool. It's at the main pool. The walk is not long at all. The beauty of the resort will occupy your walk. You are absolutely love this place

Was it what you expected? Room location? How convenient is the DVC building? Any room noise?

It's was more than I expected. So beautiful. Our room was 1415 and just loved it. Had no room noise and the DVC building is not far at all. The best trip I've ever had to WDW. Wish I could share pics. Don't know how. If u want pics pm me ur email

Surprisingly it was open late. 10 or 11 most nights. I can honestly say we spent a great amount of time in the pool. Lol. Best was days it was raining

Thanks! My little one is big on swimming so we definitely want to check it out.

Omg so is mine. He can't swim but with the safety vests the pools and water parks have he was an animal. When we came home all he says is "daddy water park". Omg such the best trip

From 12/2 - 12/4 I think I was in room 1414 - right across from you. The reason I am not sure is I moved 3x on this trip and room numbers are starting to get fuzzy. :goodvibes I was in the last room on the 4th floor in the southeast corner. I really enjoyed my stay other than the Electrical Water Pageant lost it's appeal about the 4th time I heard it in one night. :bitelip:

Edited to add: Just checked my "room ready" text and it was 1414. We were neighbors for a short time.

Wow how cool is that lol i really hope my son wasnt too loud. he just had to be the one to open the door and push the elevator button so he did a lot of running and yelling.....so if so im sorry lol. we just loved our room and all the sounds....My wife enjoyed the music from the show at the poly across the way.

My i ask why you had to move 3x. we had a little problem on our last full day but it got worked out

If you have FB, you can post pics there and make them all private (or not) and then click on each picture to get it up alone...then right click on the picture and select 'copy image location'...then come here and go to post message...click the little post card icon 'insert image' and right click in the box and select paste...then select ok. You must leave the pics on FB because if you delete they will then disappear from here too.

Glad you enjoyed your trip! Maybe someday we'll try out VGF.

Because I just couldn't leave well enough alone. ::yes:: I was originally 5 nights at AKV [Jambo] and 2 nights at GFV, but I really wanted to do GFV first because I wanted to settle in for my last 5 nights at AKV. When I saw GFV had availability for my first 2 nights about 45 days out, I grabbed it and just knew my waitlist would come through at AKV for my last 2 nights . . . and it didn't!!!

Were you at the exact end of the hall as me, but facing west? At first, I wasn't crazy about being right next to the exit stairwell. My son and I always use those when we can and I hate the way the door slams behind you, but I never did hear anything - so much ado about nothing.

And as a mother myself, I totally understand how little ones love to push the elevator buttons. :cutie:

I enjoyed GFV, but felt a little over-stimulated . I could hear the construction at Poly during the day, the Electrical Water Pageant late at night and the boat horns through-out day and evening.

we were right across from you.....ha we plan on staying at 2 different resorts next year....Nov 4-19...I have the rooms booked at the VGF but might trade out for BWV 1 week and AKV the second week. if we can get in of course......with the door slamming yes we had a couple scares with son....other than that we didn't mind the noises....had that Disney feeling I guess.....

PMing you my email. Would love to see those pics!

If you have a Photobucket or Flickr account you can use the IMG URL to post the photos here on the Disboards. I would love to see them. VGF has become a favorite resort for us, but unluckily for us we don't own there.

Glad to here your first trip home was great. Here's hoping you will have many, many more wonderful WDW trips over the years.

We are thinking of staying at VGF in the future. How long is the walk to the monorail? Does the villas pool have a slide?

Walk to the monorail shouldn't be more than 5 minutes.

There isn't a special dvc pool, but the themed zero entry pool that is relatively close to the villas does have a slide.
