Hi. Just wandering if anyone has used any of these paint colors in thier home? I want to paint my spare/scraproom in one of those pink colors, with accent of lime green. I wish that I could buy shimmery pink paint.

I've never used the paint, but I've picked up a few paint chips from time to time. :rolleyes1

That sounds like a really cool color combo! Go for it!

Our family room is lime green with accents of royal blue, and I love it!

Yes, our whole house is painted in Disney colors. I have "To Infinity and Beyond" above the wainscotting in the living/dining room, one of the pink shades in DD's room and one of the light blue shades in DS's room.

::yes:: Computer room is 100 Acre Sky

It is Baer paint and I use that all the time...even in non-Disney colors ;)

My dd's room is painted in Disney paints. We have a really dark purple, a hot fuschia, the bright orange and the lime green. It looks cool!

I painted my bathroom with Buzz Beta Sector this summer.. it's the prettiest butterscotch color! I also have 100 Acre Raindrops (silvery gray) and Dreams Come True (a purple) waiting for when I finally redo our bedroom. :)

I used them. DD's room is pink purple and green. It's looks really good too. The top half of her walls are pink (cotton candy I think thats what it's called). The bottom half of the walls are purple (from winnie the pooh colors) and inbetween those to colors is a bright green (tinker bell green). This is her room. I did add butterflies to the walls (dd request). Oh and please excuse my dd dirty disgusting pillow. We finally convienced her to throw it way LOL

We used one of the reds, blues, blacks, & tans to paint our Disney family room.
We also used the Nemo colors to do our Nemo bathroom.
The colors came out almost exactly like the paint chips & look great!

I used the Pixie Dust color in a bathroom. I agree w/ the previous poster about the Behr paint....It was great! I used it with non-Disney colors as well and painted over wallpaper with just a light coat of primer and it covered it extremely well!

My daughters room is painted in "pretty as a princess" pink. It looks great.

Home Depot uses the Behr Paint for the Disney colors.

Behr does make different finishes that you can do. I can't remember if there is a shimmery one. I remember a metallic one. But I believe it's gold or silver metallic.

Ask at the paint counter. I know you can add glitter to paint. (I did that in my bathroom~ but repainting will NOT be easy)

i convinced my parents to paint using the TinkerBell color in a room and it looks wonderful. everyone asks where we got it and is amazed that it is that nice ;)

I love my DS's nursery, we used baby bee yellow. BEHR paint is wonderful.

DS19 was 16 years old he wanted his room to be black. There was NO WAY that I was going to paint his bedroom black! So one weekend while he was away on a high school trip, DS16 and I went to Home Depot and I picked out "Mickey's Shadow" which is a very nice shade of dark gray, and painted DS19s walls with that color. I added black bedding, sheer black curtains (they let a lot of light in through the mini blinds), and a black/gray/brown area rug, and his room looks stunning, even a few years later! He never tells his friends that his room is painted "Mickey's Shadow" though.

I love the Disney shades of paint at Home Depot :)

Home Depot has a glitter you can add to paints in the paint dept near the sand you add to make sand painted ceilings.
I have seen clear, gold and silver. I went to a fellow Diser's house once and she had the clear glitter on her ceiling and it was beautiful. I would try a little on a scrap piece of wood first but I am sure it would look good on the walls. You might have to spray it on with a paint sprayer if it globs up with a brush or roller. Ask at Home Depot, they rent paint sprayers. Would be messy if there is furniture in the room but probably would come out great.

We used Bibbidi Bobbidi Blue for the boys' nursery - it was the perfect shade of baby blue. I had a tough time putting a Princess color in a boy's room, but I liked it a little better than the 100 Acre Morning, which had a touch more grey.

One thing that is important to note, though, about getting the Disney paints - only buy as much as you'll need. Unlike the standard Behr paint colors, you can't return unused cans because they are considered custom. I still think this is strange because it doesn't seem any more custom than the colors you have mixed from the standard Behr paint chips, but for whatever reason, that's what their policy is.

Home Depot no longer accepts returns on ANY mixed paint. It doesn't matter if it's Behr, Glidden, or Ralph Lauren. Too many customers would buy the paint, use it and then claim it wasn't the right color. OR they would buy it, return it..and then wait the 48hrs for it to be put into the OOPS paint section and pay $5 for the $25 gallon.

They will however correct the shade if it's not right.

Our entire house, literally from the inside out, is painted with Behr paints. Even when we see a color we like from a competitor, we get it color matched with Behr.

I think one of DW Lauri's favorite things is her Behr paint deck. :)
