I am going to have the counters in our 3 bathrooms and our laundry room replaced with granite. Would you use the same pattern of granite for all 4 rooms or does it really matter? I really like the look of different granite in each room, but wanted opinions of others since we may sell the house in the near future. Another plus of using a different granite in each room is that we can use remnants from other jobs the fabricator has done and save quite a bit of money.

They are all separate rooms so no need for the same in each. It think the overall look of your house is better if they aren't the same.

if you can get 4 pieces out of one slab:confused3 maybe How about the same color scheme with maybe two different slabs? I like the look of different ones...

The counters aren't too big so they should be able to get 4 out of one slab...at least that's what they tell me. I had planned on getting them all the same until the fabricator showed me their remnant pieces and now I'm leaning towards different choices for each room. I like the look and the cost.

I would prefer different stones for each room unless one or more was ugly. :lmao:

We have 5 bathrooms (ugh, what was I thinking) all with different granite tops. I went to the granite yard & picked them out from remnants, which saved some money. I LOVE the different colors & grains in each room!

I vote for different slabs in each room. Kinda bugs me when I see the same pattern through out a house (or even hotel room for that matter).

As long as it is not black, you are OK.

I hate the black granite in the kitchen. It shows every water spot and speck of a crumb or dust.

Of course you can go different. Although maybe if the one bathroom was right off the laundry room, you may want to have those match if possible. We remodeled our bathrooms and put in the same floor tile, wall tile and cabinets. But different granite top and accent tiles.

We have granite counter tops in our kitchen and our master bathroom. Both are different patterns. The only "link" thru our house is the fact that when we rebuilt the fireplace we had it redone with travertine, we also had the master bathroom shower done in travertine. Everything else is different depending on the room. :) I say mix and match, different rooms don't need to have the same granite. :)
