Is the pool warm, since it is so cold and snowing out.

It is so delightfully warm (not the water, but the air itself in the pool area. I actually enjoy sitting in the sauna for an hour. Seriously!

Was 40, just opened a new bag of peanut M&M's.
I'll share.

Thanks! I bought myself a new 14 ounce bag when I stopped for swim snacks for the meet tomorrow.

My mom and sister are going to see Twilight. They already purchased tickets days ago.


But my Dad and I are not sure what to see.

Twilight is all the rage. Have you read the book? I haven't. DD12 wants the book for Christmas.

I took the posters over to hang up while DD9 practiced, and then came home, and went back to pick up DD12, who practices after her.

One of the board members asked if I had a poster ready for the coach, who turns 40 tomorrow. SHe had asked me to make one when we hung the first batch, but I thought she said for the LAST meet, not the NEXT meet.

So, after DD12 was finished, I came home and made her a poster, three actually. One says "Lordy, Lordy, guess who's 40" in a kid type print with crooked letters. The second just says "Coach Amy" in a fancy, scrolly lettering, and the third is just a really long piece that says "Happy 40th Birthday" so the kids can sign their names all over it. This is about 20 feet of posters (don't worry, they will fit by the pool!)

I so enjoy painting!

We did not need to shovel yet, Judi.
About three inches, but light, blowy snow.
Worse, is that it is icy......
the stop signs at the bottom of hills......downright dangerous!
the parking lot at the pool was quite treacherous, too!

How do you like your stuffing?


the was40's like a very simple stuffing

white bread cubes
onion, butter, turkey broth (okay, it's chicken broth), salt, pepper






that is all
no veggies in the stuffing
mainly bread


yes, it is plain
yes, it is delicious

becasue in the commercial
it looks better than most tv dinners I have seen

Today in the cafeteria
a third grader told me

his french fries tasted like dog food.


I asked if he had ever eaten dog food,,,,,,,
He said, "yes"
so I guess he would know........
