Our social services worker at school was going to have meetings to boost morale, and call them Thoughtful Thursdays.......... a nice idea except it involved the staff staying late to be thoughtful.......

last week was to be the first one
and Wednesday we got a shouty email:


THERE WILL NOT BE THOUGHTFUL THURSDAYS UNTIL I TELL YOU THEY BEGIN!

When I read this (sent in all caps), I found it to be hilarious!
We will start being thoughtful when she says, damn it!

DD9 wants one of those ridiculously expensive American Girl dolls.....
I just cannot see spending over 100 dollars on a doll (yes, you get a book and a few precious accessories, like a hair clip)

I was just looking at the My Twinn website, another "want"
they start at 149...........EACH........

Yes, those dolls are quite expensive. On 5th Avenue, there is an American Girl store, where they stock every doll and accessory for those dolls. They even have a beauty parlor where the girls and their dolls can get beautiful together at the same time. There is also a cafe and a place to hold birthday parties.
There are very pretty baby dolls out on the market that don't cost half as much and still come with fun accessories. Have you checked at Toys R Us or Amazon, or are those too babyish?

I slept in till 5:30 this morning since DD has her day off. I prepared everyone's breakfast slowly and then DH drove me to a few stores to pick up some things. I didn't even have a chance to put on the computer till I got back.
