That was just how Dad was when he was home after his knee replacement surgery...except he was obsessed with cleaning and threw out a lot of importnat papers

DH said DS should have stayed away from getting a girl.friend until AFTER christmas!

So....today in Kindergarten I was in charge of having all the kids glitter snow flakes...one by one they came over and I made a fun design in glue...they then proceeded to shake the glitter bottel with all their might all over the table...this went on for the entire hour and 15 minutes that I was there I have glittler in places I didn't know it could go On a bright note though the teacher said that our class would have the nicest snow flakes out of all 5 kindergartens

It must be glitter day. Our kindergarten was glittering, too. I hate glitter. We had reading buddies with our first grade partners, we were pounding nails into tiny designs on "tin" juice can lids.....hammers, not so good for six year olds.....

What a happy day in fourth grade today

first, our morning paper was a crossword puzzle with many song references, so we all got to break into song repeatedly......they did not know "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire" the missing word was chestnuts.....
they got the Jack Frost reference, though

THen......special assembly about "just say no to drugs, which was good, interactive.....

Then.......cupcakes! Cant go wrong there, now can you??

My student teacher brought me an ENTIRE pie,
peanut butter with oatmeal/granola crust...

I shared it with the staff at "breakfast"

He works at a local but exceptional restaurant
(one of those that has real napkins, and silverware, Judi)

and the pie was from there

Peanut butter pie is my favorite
though, I may have mentioned it before
I don't think you can go wrong with pie...

but my natural gas bill which came today
estimated, but close, DH went out to read the meter

was three HUNDRED dollars <GULP>
