I'm home again. and working on that next trip. lol
I think I have to stay home till the event, my charge cards are screaming....
I had a great trip, made it down to WDW in about 19 hours. We hit bumper to bumper traffic through MD and VA, and that storm Bob didn't help much, dumping more rain on us than I had seen since my last trip to WDW.
I went to the AS meet on Thursday and saw all the "in-crowd" Ed, Donna, June, Bob, Heather, Jim, Michelle, Manny, Dana, etc.... I made a few trades but mostly spent the time chatting, and trying to keep Ed and Manny from drooling all over my friend Richie's daughter.
I did the 4th of July pin run and met two nice traders from PA. They are on the cruise right now, but I know when they return they will find their way to the boards.
The fireworks at Epcot were fantastic again, as usual. I am so glad I didn't miss them this year.
We got a great rate at the Dolphin, $129 for 3 nights and the 4th free. Then they upgraded us to Consierge.
Jacqui and I spent alot of time at the pools there. (I invited Ed, but he never showed up) The pools are really nice, but colder than the Disney pools.
I went to see Scoop on Sunday, but made a big faux-paux. I packed in such a hurry that I forgot my lanyard. So I broke the first of the Scoop pin rules... I didn't bring it with me to a pin event or meet.
But I improvised and might have come up with an even better way to show off my pins. I will have to copyright it quick, Ed really wants one for himself. I got a Lei from the Poly and put my pins through the little holes in the flowers. Ed called it a LEI-nyard. Scoop gave me a special pin for having such a crafty lanyard. (I think he said crappy but with that southern drawl who really knows)
The drive home was much quicker, 17 hours. Now I have to do laundry and clean this house that I cleaned before I left. Note to self.....never leave three men in a house without a houskeeper.
I miss my REAL home already..................Peggie
