Hate to be a downer, but we went just this past December, and I wouldn't really give it a recommendation. I think since it's been bought by Trinity Broadcasting, it's not quite as good as it once was. Even at Christmas time with the few things we saw, we found it a bit "cheesy". We didn't meet any of the street characters except for a bunny rabbit

confused: didn't really get that...)
It was kind of creepy to me to go into the cafe to see the Trinity Broadcasting Station blaring from the tv with one of their shows going. The whole time we were there we were thinking that it seemed like someone making money off of God's name and the history of the Bible. Not at all what we anticipated. The employees weren't very friendly, either.
When we left, we noticed the nativity scene out front with piped in music playing. The statues of the animals and all were very old, and it really just looked campy and cheesy---not respectful of what it should have been--KWIM??
I will say that the one and only thing we enjoyed was the walk through display of the old translations of the Bible. I just really feel that someone is making money off this, and it's not a good thing!
