Holy Shrek US is expensive...

Universal is always the cheaper vacation for us, but I am comparing the poly to the Hrh. We stay CL at the Hrh for less than the GV room at poly. Tkts to Universal are always cheaper also. There is not a big difference between 3 day tickets and 7 day tickets. If you were staying 7 days at Universal. I bet the cost would be about the same. How did you manage to get a room discount and free dining?

That is my question too..I know RARELY they have run a 30% off with Free dining, but it was only good for SSR/OKW ( which the op is staying at).

Hi I booked through the UK site which has 45% off for next summer may -nov and also has free dining included as well

Now going to book only 1 night at a uiniversal hotel (may even overlap with our disney booking and drive back for an ARD and stay at the disney hotel and just use the universal hotel for the flp. As during our last stay in universal at rph we did not find the restaurant there as good for coeliacs as those at disney. (tried Emirals tchop tchop last time on xmas day - sooooo expensive!!! and not that great for me-I'm the coeliac - infact they gave me a sauce I couldn't have and after 5 mins server appeared back to state I should not have been given that as it was not gluten free :scared1):- Also tried the large dining room - too manic over Xmas time along with Hard Rock cafe in city walk- good for fastish food eating but not for a l cate dining and margaritaviles in city walk - not our thing). So It looks like we just book in to get the flp as they are better than the express passes you can buy.

At the moment we are paying $181 (including tax) total per night for disneys OKW this is for all 4 of us Me, DH and DD's ages 14 and 19 - It includes 2 meals per day (1TS and 1 counter). We want to go for a few nights to universal but my DH has said that he is not paying more per night for a hotel (of a similar stand.) if its not even covering food the way the disney hotel is. He has by default therefore agreed to pay up $181 for the room for all 4 of us with no food- not sure he see it that way but if I get it for $181/night I will have booked it before he finds out :rotfl:

Can ask it's totally un related to universal but the price you just posted for your Disney holiday are you staying in a studio? Or a 1 bed 2 bed villa? I'm asking as I was quoted £4880 for the same holiday but for 6 of us in a 2 bed villa as I'm paying in ££ not dollars you got a fab rate and I was going it's because your in a studio or 1 bed and were in a 2 bed lol trying to make myself feel better about seeing your price :rotfl2:
