Holy RAIN Batman!! (Boston area)

I can't believe how much it is POURING right now - we were just driving home from visiting the parents in Southeastern MA - and I hit a puddle so big and deep in my Beetle that I almost stopped. I couldn't believe it! The Rain is coming down so fast....

AND plus - we're supposed to be camping this weekend up in Maine - and the weather for the Fryeburg, ME area is RAIN all weekend! I think we'll be "roughin' it" in the CAR instead of the tent!!!

I just arrived in Boston a few hours ago- pouring rain now I think it's supposed to rain all weekend, too

Of course it's going to rain this weekend!! This is the weekend of the St.Rocco's festival in Franklin, where I used to live. It's been going on since 1978 and I think it's rained all but 2 years.

I never plan any outdoor activities on the same weekend as St. Rocco's

They are saying 1-3 inches in downpours today...then more rain Sunday. But, I guess we cant complain after looking at FL right now.

Too funny! That is our Church and we go to St. Rocco's every year! I'm planning on going tomorrow as it doesn't look too bad for tomorrow!

It IS a small world. I work at Dean College. I used to live off of Pleasant Street near Franklin Tire & Auto, where I still bring our cars for service=they're GREAT!!! We still belong to St. Mary's even though we've moved... I was Confirmed there and my daughter was Baptized & Confirmed there

Hiya Kate Did you wave as you drove by me???

It was WILD last night, wasn't it???? My parent's have been on the Cape for 2 weeks on their boat. They saw a good solid break in the weather yesterday, and scrambled home. Left Cotiut at 7:30, and were in the Back River in Weymouth by 3:30 (yes, it's a powerboat!)

Looks like it's going to be wet wet wet this weekend.

think I may hold off on my shopping trip to Filene's basement until tomorrow-I'm out in watertown at a friend's apartment (she ended up having to work today ) The weather forcast is calling for downpours this afternoon!

Yup. We had plans tonight too which now have to be put off a week. I had a half day today (publishing places usually do 1/2 day Fridays in the summer) and I was going go home real quick and come back into town to meet my bf (he works here too but his dept. has to stay till 4 ) and we were going to spend the early evening in town and take Monty Dog on a horse and buggy ride around Boston.

I think that will not be happening.

I stayed up til midnight waiting for my 18 year old to come home last night~ I got a little nervous about him being out with the rain/thunder/lightning!!

I am heading to Franklin this morning to renew my BJ's membership and pick up some stuff! Small world!!!!!!!!!

Ohmigod, I go to that BJ's all the time. gas was $1.82 there all this week. I was so glad when they built it even with all the controversy with the neighbors.... I'm also glad they're FINALLY working on the bridge.. that's been 10 long years in the making!

I'm glad I flew to California yesterday. I knew flying on friday the 13th would have been a bad idea. I missed all the rain.


PS gas was ony 1.74 in Somerville yesterday.
