Holy fire extinguisher Batman!!!!

Okay, it didn't get that far fortunately, but last night at my son's band concert, there was an "incident"!! At the end of the concert, all the choirs (5th and 6th grades, jr. high, high school, and acappella), approx 140 students, came together with lighted candles to sing "Silent Night". Well, you can pretty much guess what 140 crammed together students with lighted candles means!! One of the girls' hair caught on fire!!! They were quickly able to put it out with their hands with only one strand singed , but holy cow!!! What a terrible thing that could've been! I'm thinking someone WASN'T thinking when they planned that!

What was that director thinking. Even Disney doesn't use real candles for Candlelight Processional. Good thing the fire marshalls weren't around. Thank goodness the girl wasn't seriously hurt.

Boy are you right...what was the person thinking who decided to do that!...I bet there is some back lash today!...
Our directors would have the children make candles....it always looked really cute...

That's scary. I'll bet there won't be anymore ceremonies at school incorporating lighted candles. I'm so glad no one was injured.
