I will be there in 10days, leaving in 9 days driving! I am not ready!

I am crossing my fingers, toes, eyes, everything, that this trip isnt a disaster. I am bringing my BF and his son. BF has no love for "amusement " parks and nothing I say or do will convince him that he is going to have a great time. At this point I just hope he doesnt ruin it for the rest of us!

Any advice?

:hippie:

BTW, BF is promising it will be ok, and he will be nice and have fun! :rolleyes1

if he doesn't like theme parks, I wouldn't marry him. :)

Just keep stuffing his face w/ food! :)

I took my bf to Disney for his first time last year, he never ever wanted to go and thought he was only going to go when he had kids... well I didnt care what he said and I surprised him w/ the trip.. .well guess what, he is taking me back there this year.. HE LOVED IT!
in other words, wait until you get there, see what happens and if he still hates it or doesnt enjoy it when he is there, leave him on a bench and go have fun! :) :moped:

Hey, a new single woman on the DIS!

You know, Kentucky has some nice amusement parks, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and Beech Bend Amusement Park. Well, one out of two isn't bad.

My advice? RUN .... RUN FAR, FAR AWAY!! :rotfl:

If he's not into amusement at all ... the RPR is always full of convention goers, easily identified with name tags and badges. I hear many of the ripsaw guys deal in the black market, and, if needed, for a small fee, can get you a fake ID badge for the convention of the week. Then, ship DBF off to convention meetings and lectures all day, while the rest of you enjoy yourselves. :)

Seriously though ... he can't be opposed to relaxing now, can he? The RPR is a resort ... surely he can find something to do to not rain on anyone else's parade. He can relax by the pool with a book, have a drink, use the fitness center, enjoy some shows or a movie...

gee lindalinda, don't know what to say.

i leave the hubby at home when i do my orlando trips.
i would hate to have to divorce him if he ruined my trip....... :rolleyes1

we do have priorities you know :teeth:

since you will be staying on site and will have fotl, maybe he will enjoy the parks more. if he doesn't have to wait forever to get on a ride/attraction, he may end up loving the entire adventure.
