Holy cow! I actually got the diamond settlement check!

I got my $140.00 check yesterday! I can't even remember when I filed the claim. LOL

Just opened mine and it was 97.01 My first thought was to log onto the BB and see what it was all about! I remember filing for my engagement ring but not sure I included earrings as a PP stated.

We have moved 3 times since 2009 but they had my current address

I HOPE they find us. We've moved since filing but my husband told me it was a waste of time to fill out the form.

I found copies of what I did fill out about a year ago and again, he laughed it off.

I would be SO freaking happy with just a dollar and I would so LOVE to get a check in the mail tonight.

I filled out the form for two engagement rings, just over a half-carat each. I'll post what I get if I get anything.

It wasn't in the mail today so I asked the husband. Turns out it did arrive earlier and he "forgot" to tell me he already deposited the check.




It was $40.32.


I'm just kicking myself now for not applying for all of the jewelry I had that had diamonds in it.

We got ours last night, too. DH thought it was fake because he'd completely forgotten about it. He's keeping the $249 for himself because, as he said, he bought the ring and it's like a rebate

My mom and I both got checks while we were are WDW last week...$55 for her and $32 for me. It was nice coming home to a bit of surprise money in the mail! LOL

I had almost forgotten about it, I just happened to read an article about it the other day and was wondering what was going on...the next day I received a check for $226, nice surprise.

Remember forever and ago when it was all over the news (and on here) that if you'd purchased any diamonds over a certain time period, you could fill out a claim online to be part of a huge lawsuit against DeBeers? Well I laughed about it a little, knowing that with SO many people filing a claim, we'd be lucky to get $3 or so (for my engagement ring purchase in 2000, which is lovely, but not a kaching$$ price to start with). But hey...it was easy to do, so why not.

Then, like almost everyone, I completely forgot about it.

I was pretty shocked to open my mail last night and find a check. And it was for $60! Okay, not a windfall or anything. But way more than I expected, and who doesn't like getting a check in the mail. Besides, I'm setting up a nursery over here, and that's like 3.5 cloth diapers! From diamonds to diapers...seems poetic

Seriously!! We got one too! $88... and actually, I COMPLETELY forgot about it!! Going to deposit it today!

Got mine last week for $92! I had forgotten all about it, but when I opened the envelope, I was expecting a few bucks. Honestly, I have no idea what it's for, but Momma's getting her hair done!

Mine showed up last night out of nowhere. My wife and I were so poor when we got engaged, her ring is smaller so my check was for....................... $11, or 2 roughly 2 Dole Whip Floats!
