Holy commute, Batman!

I had the worst commute into work today. I live about five miles from my office, and usually commute to work by taking a bus into Boston, and then a bus out to the suburbs. My commute is normally about 45 minutes. Well, this morning, I could not get a bus out of my city--and there are about four options for buses. The traffic was bumper to bumper, and the streets were all icy. Some of the people I normally ride the bus with had been waiting 30-60 minutes for a bus. I wound up walking almost two miles to the train station to get to work! It took me and hour and 45 minutes to get to work today.

As I was walking on the slippery icy patches, I kept on saying to myself, "I can't get hurt two days before going to Disney. I can't get hurt two days before going to Disney."

There are snow squalls happening again as I type. I'm not looking forward to the commute home.

I'll just have to keep reminding myself I'll be in the Florida warmth in two days.

Wasnt it lovely? Took me over an hour to drive about 1 1/2 miles. I could have walked it 4 times in that.
At least you will be in Disney in 2 days!!! Have fun!

Wouldn't you know it, the is now out in Boston! 10 minutes ago it was overcast and we had flurries.

I actually lucked out today. The school bus was on time picking up DS, and my commute to work was not too much out of the ordinary. However, we had the most amazing snow squall here at work not too long ago.

I'd correct that to *unholy* commute, myself. The Smart Traveller hotline called it Armageddon, which seemed close to accurate f rom my perspective. Five hours door to door.
