Does the Hollywood & Vine Fanstasmic Pkg dinner count in the dinning plan?
It sounds like a good place to eat, anyone have an view on this?

We did a charector breakfast back in 02 there. It was great. Good charector interaction, food was hot and fresh and we had great services. I would eat there again with or without the charectors.

Not for sure on the Fantasmic Package, but I think I read somewhere that the dining plan could not be used for this.

You can use the dining plan for this. It counts as 1 TS. We ate there about a year ago, and really enjoyed it.

Hollywood and Vine no longer has character meals. We always enjoyed their food in the past and the characters were fun, especially the dancing. However, we had dinner there in June and thought the food selections were fair, at best. My DS (15) could barely find anything to eat although he did enjoy the desserts. I found myself eating a TON of salmon since nothing else looked or tasted good. I would not recommend H&V and will not be going back there in future trips.

Although I've heard various reports saying no, it did for us. My family really enjoyed this meal!

We ate at H&V this past August the first week of free dining. We used 1 ts for the meal and got a Fantasmic voucher. We thought the food was absolutely awful except for the flank steak. Our waiter was great though, and we were glad we weren't actually "paying" for what little we did eat. We will never go back to H & V unless they have a different menu.

We ate there this Oct 7 , it was perfect for us - we did the FDP, it was very crowded, but we only had to wait 15 min for our ADR, table for 6, we were a party of 5... I have no idea what I ordered, but went back twice, I know dh enjoyed the salmon, and I had the shrimp, and that's all I can remember!! The desserts werent great, but dd8 loved the ice cream fixin bar!! They did have a good pecan praline bar, the key lime tart was too much tart and not much custard... the pineapple upside down cake seemed dry to me...

DD ordered the extra glow cube, and my dad had a beer!! The waitress was very efficient refilling our water glasses, sittind down next to dd asking her about her trip, and then later helping explain the "glow" cube - nice touch I thought!!

Again, it was a buffet, so it was fast, efficient and we got our money's worth!!

::MickeyMo It was okay. Not bad, not great. We're not really buffet people. It wasn't a bad experience, but I we won't be rushing back any time soon. We won't be going there for our Jan. trip. It's just something we can do without. ::MinnieMo

I ate there a year ago and then a couple of weeks ago, and felt it had gone downhill. We had to wait about 30 minutes past our ADR for our table, and the buffet was kind of messy and the food just wasn't as good this time. Also we had to beg the waiter for the check and were almost late to Fantasmic.
