Hi! Considering this for Bkfst! Just wondering which characters are there and How is the food?:confused3:scared1::laughing: Would love some recent reviews and any pics!:dance3:

We did H& V last month and we liked the breakfast.. it was much better then lunch for sure. The food was hot and good. We saw June and Leo from Little Einstein, Oso and Handy Manny. We were there for 8am reservation and were out of there by 9am and had seen most character twice as the restaurant wasn't full at all. The characters take time with the kids.

We did this for the first time in May. Unlike regular character meals, this one encourages the kids to get up and join a CM and the characters to dance about every 20 minutes. DD4 LOVED this! She would hear the music and run up next to the CM who was very attentive to her. We usually do Chef Mickey for breakfast but I would definitely consider this especially if you have someone who like the preschool shows. If you are not familiar with the Disney Junior shows, you might not appreciate the characters. I definitely like the food better than 'Ohana's breakfast.

Our DS really liked the dancing too at age 4 and 5. But it seemed the dancing was almost non-stop when we were there! No problem... we squeezed some food in him here and there! Great character fun... Food good enough too. I like breakfast better than lunch... the lunch food was OK.., just OK.... but better places to eat lunch at Hollywood Studios. Read more in my reviews (2010) link below.

I just booked this for December! Our baby will be 2 on this trip and she LOVES little einsteins so I hope Leo and June are still there in December. Her other favorite is Chuggington but I guess trains would be a little large in a restaurant :rotfl:

BUT----> How early do the buses run to DHS with a 9 am opening? We have an 8 am ADR. I hope there's a bus that can get us there on time.

This restaurant could serve broken glass (and some act like that would be more tasteful) and I'd still recommend it for breakfast for the sole purpose of cutting to the front of the morning rope drop line. The breakfast was fine, standard buffet fare with Mickey waffles. The characters are best suited for the 3 to 5 year olds.

Just get an early enough reservation to eat and finish 5 minutes before park opening. You can then take your place at a small group in front of the masses, beyond the normal rope drop show. As they are marched down at opening, you are added to that line in the front. Of course the line breaks down at some point and you are on your own after that, but even with a stroller and not really rushing we walked on TSM. The wait time for TSM within 10 minutes of park opening grows amazingly fast, even in low season.

We went to breakfast at H&V in March. It was our first character dining. My daughter (3) didn't know the characters but enjoyed them very much. I would recommend this for breakfast. When we went, there were four characters and they did a nice job spacing their visits to our table to give us time to eat in between visits.

I would include an image, but I don't have enough posts yet.

Food was standard breakfast buffet food IIRC, but I enjoyed having cold cereal & milk on the buffet. It was different from the other breakfast buffets we had that week. I enjoyed that it was not crowded. I would have liked for characters to have gotten to us more quickly, but they weren't rushed when they got to us. DD had plenty of time to dance with the CM & characters & we were seated near where the action was, so we could eat & watch DD at the same time. The bathrooms were clean too.

We were there at rope drop. We walked with the masses to TSM, got a FP, then went back for breakfast. We were seated almost immedately. We had enough time to eat & get back to TSM for our FP time.

This breakfast is only second to the O'hana breakfast for us.

I felt the fruit and pastry offerings were less than some of the other buffets, but still fine. One nice addition I haven't seen at other buffets was a make your own breakfast burrito available here.
