Hollywood & Vine

We have done the same Fatasmic dinner there several times. The food was always OK and with kids the variety very important. This last year's trip the food was poor and the selection was reduced. Since you are going during a lighter time of the year I would skip the Fatasmic dinner option. The section is off on the right and you should be able to get a better seat with the crowds in the center since the crowds will be down.

According to AllEars, Fantasmic will cut back to two performances per week, (Mondays and Thursdays), beginning in early January 2009. So if you go during a time they are down to 2/wk, it would probably be important to book a dinner package. We have done the package with H & V a number of times (the most recent a a few weeks ago) and have always had a positive experience there. I think you can have a bad experience at any restaurant! :)
