Thanks for the info everybody. I think I am going to stick with it and give it a try. I mean it has to be better then those chain kind.

Honestly we thought our local Old Country Buffet was better(and we don't particularly care for Old Country Buffet). H&V was not kept tidy, food temps were luke warm and most of the food was barely fair---at best.

I've been there numerous times and will be going again in 2 weeks! :thumbsup2

We did the Fantasmic Pkg there in 12/04 and it really wasn't that bad. We had rezzies for 4:30 and didn't get seated until nearly 5:30 though because they were soooo busy..... the food was ok-nothing spectacular-but the buffet made it easy w/ 2 little ones (4 and 2 at the time) to hurry up and get their food from a wide variety of things to choose from rather than having to wait for the server to take our order and bring the food out.... this time though, we're going to do Mama Melrose's (we did it 6 yrs ago... hoping it's still good! :rotfl: )

My least favorite of all the buffets in WDW. The food was lluke warm at best, meats were dry and our server was never any where to be found--so we didn't get any refills on our drinks. On the bright side though, my kids think it has the best desserts and still talk about how great it was!

We have eaten there every year for the package. Some trips have been better than others. I would never say bad, just average. Last year it was great however, it was our best buffet meal of the trip. I ate so much I felt sick LOL.

We did the FDP at H&V last year after always doing MM. It was okay. Nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about either. Had FDP to MM for this year, but had to change it when we changed our vacation dates. When I went to rebook MM, it was booked, so I took H&V instead. Oh well.

Hmmm....now I *am having second thoughts. With all the other great places to eat...and it being our "last" meal at Disney...not sure it's worth the risk. Our other choices would be Yachtsman, Akershus, Nacroossee's or Whispering Canyon. Just when I thought I had it all figured out...

dh and i did the fantasmic package there last oct and we wont go back!! the food was terrible and so was the service we only chose that one due to the brown derby being booked and it was our honeymoon and we wanted to do the package so needless to say it didnt help matters we are going in a few weeks again and we opted out of doing the package and just eating elsewhere. good luck
