We're thinking of doing the breakfast at H&V -- mainly to get into the park earlier than park opening to avoid RD crowd. My only concern is that it is a character breakfast for really young children -- my kids (21, 18, 14) have never heard of Jo Jos Circus. (And the concern doesn't have anything to do with young children but in how the entertainment might be more catered to them.) My guess is we can just enjoy our breakfast and have as much or as little interaction as we want. We've enjoyed our breakfasts at Crystal Palace -- would this be similar in atmosphere?

It is a similar atmosphere, but it is really geared for younger kids.. My three year old loved it, my nine year old hated it... The characters do dance around at various times just like in the crystal palace. You probably could ask your server to tell the characters to just skip your table... The food was okay, nothing memorable... But I see your point in trying to avoid the lines...

I just had to reply to this because i've been to disney many times and the only restaurant i would never go back to is hollywood and vine. i did the breakfast there last year and while the characters were great and my 4yo ds loved it:) , as far as service and food were concerned it was awful. they offer the regular breakfast fare but the food was tasteless, what i remember the most were the pancakes hard and cold:sad1: i would only recomend this if your children really love these characters because like i said the interaction was great.

Unless you are going for the characters- the food is horrid. The only reason we put up with it is because my kids love it. YOu might find the dancing and entertaining very annoying- think constant pooh parade from CP.

It is nothing like Crystal Palace. It is noisy and not great food. We only go for the atmosphere as my little kids loved all the singing and dancing and parading with the characters.
I would not recommend it if you are not going for that. There are far better breakfast places to eat.
